Cooper tried his best but carried too much baggage and was never going to be accepted unless we got off to a flyer.

I think it was an attempt to play it down in the euphoria of the aftermath interview. He'd lost his head by then, the same as most of us.

Hope that he's not left you in the lurch -
The only justification for appointing Martin is in the highly unlikely scenario that all other targets are either not available, require compensation or simply don't want the job. It's possible the list has been exhausted so the only choice left is Martin or stick with RvN.

I can just imagine FoxesTalkers watching socials intensely to be the first to break the news. Who will win the race? -
Having a philosophy is so last year. I want a manager that's not wedded to a rigid style and fluid enough to change depending on the opposition and state of play, even during the game. Stick his philosophy.

Why can't the club come out with a statement that apologises and gives us some hope for the future at least. If there is a time to rally the troops, then this is it. Let's have a bit of defiance, bloody mindedness, a siege mentality. Might be hard to swallow but gives us something to latch on to. Ricky P

Chris Sutton quoted his 'sources' as confirming that Martin was being appointed. Probably the same sources that are all over socials that we all have access to. That said, probably straw clutching to think this might be nothing more than Chineese whispers. I reckon he'd going to Rangers and will be perfect in the SPL

No idea but it's not joined up. Beggars belief. Massively disappointing and does nothing to lift the depression surrounding the club. Help is needed from somewhere. The Lost City has lost its football club

That's because Top has jelly in one ear and custard in the other.

Didn't watch it. Is it online somewhere without watching the whole programme?

You're right, it couldn't happen today as the European Cup competition died in 1992. It's virtually impossible for that to happen in the Champions League. Not sure what was purer in the 80's. I just remember it being grim.

Their fans are saying the same as us about Russell F'ing Martin.

Can't remember our fans ever chanting anti-manager songs at a manager that is yet to be appointed!

Is Becky doing a Netflix series or summat?

Yes, officially the worst Leicester City team in top flight history. -
Whoooosshhhh

'Whoever comes in' !? Really, this goes without saying is an incredibly important decision. It must be better than recent appointments and I'm of the opinion the employers should listen to fans and give weight to their opinions. There are several others that should be given that chance in front of Russell F Martin.

Most fans are not active or even read Foxestalk. I suspect the majority will see it as a good appointment and be excited at the prospect of a manager with a Championship promotion on their CV. It feels like the vast majority are still 💯 behind King Power judging by the lack of a reaction at home matches. We can shout as much as we like on here in our echo chamber because no one is listening.
-
Sounds like you are in favour Geoff? Will you start an apology thread if it's yet another disastrous appointment? Most of us haven't got crystal balls and all we can go on is the here and now. And at this moment this decision is wrong given the availability of better options.

So is this Dane coming in as assistant or manager? Some discussion on Owls talk.... https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/339097-henrick-pedersen-off-to-leicester-city/

Probably the accountants.

Loving the banner at the top 👌

What makes Sunderland a big club? Not sure that an FA Cup win in 1973 and an old bloke in a rain coat and trilby counts
