12 games in after being unsure from day 1 seems odd. And if it's one conversation with Vardy that's pushed Top to decide after Chelsea that also seems odd. That in itself speaks volumes (if true) that the opinion of one player is worth more than other senior management off the pitch. Top could make a real statement if he booted Rudkin and perhaps other staff that haven't pulled their weight recently...

How's it taken this long though for Top to realise this shit has been festering for several years? I wonder if that ex-manager is Pearson... If Chelsea wasn't the make or break game, why not sack him before the internationals and allow for a manager to bed in before that game, albeit for only two weeks. Does this point towards it perhaps being RVN, now that he is available? I'd love to know how bad that target list was

Hope it's not flash in the pan, that 2nd innings. Ideally you want that to be the first innings score to pressure the opposition. And you'd expect the lowly first innings scores to be the second innings scores once the pitch has deteriorated. Odd how it panned out.
