    That's quite a stretch! Not sure it's selfish? Could see it as preserving his wicket and not wasting it. Rather that and rack up a big total and make big partnerships with others that can smack it around the ground in more entertaining fashion. To say he's selfish and not a team player is quite far-fetched in my opinion.

    I read a bit about this and the only thing that seems iffy is changing it at such short notice, and that it has happened before (so nothing new). And that it favours spinners and slower wickets, so it doesn't really give a huge advantage to either side given the quality of spin available (Jadeja and Santner). It seems awkward but I don't think it's as big as is being made out.
