  1. Look, I'm not fan of the t-bot, and I actually agree with your points BUT imo she's still probably closer to the labour party right now than she is the torys. For me, that's more of a comment on how far from center the torys are ATM. And it's still a HUGE statement for starmer if she does come over but I also understand people's concerns. Its surely just too big of a opportunity to turn down, if it is indeed May who they are speculating over
  2. Yeah your right, Boris just felt like he'd been around long enough for twice 🤣
  3. Its a huge statement to right of centre conservatives that their party is completely ****ed and even an ex pm is defecting to labour. Whilst they may lose a few corbynites, They potentially stand to gain alot more floating voters. More importantly is the fact many more MSM outlets will not want to back a loser, and are much more likely to support labour at the next election, which we all know makes a huge difference. Back to the corbynites, they had there chance, lost to Boris twice, it's time for a new direction with a labour party that is more pragmatic and understands it doesn't matter how good your policies may be, you need to win an election to implement them.
  4. I remember with chilwell, he went away one summer and worked on his fitness and physicality. He came back that season and really kicked on in his career. It feels like that never happened with Luke and he's stalled and then gone backwards. He now doesn't fit Enzos style of play so really needs to move on. He needs a fresh start and somewhere he can settle down and play week in week out. Bolton could be great for him and wherever he ends up I wish him all the best.
  5. I'd be surprised if he was offered one tbh
  6. Gotta get out house in order, keep trying to shift the deadwood, reduced wages offered to those out of contract whom we would like to keep. Signings to a minimum and back to our old model of young exciting players we can try and sell on down the line. What does that look like to me? Vardy, vestergard and ndidi offered reduced terms. Not interested? Bye bye then. Iheaneacho, praet and Albrighton let go. Sign fatawu, a new lb, a cm and a striker. After that we bring through the youth. Hopefully we will manage to shift some of the players out on loan at the mo as well for some coinage and anyone else who may not really be in enzos plans. I'd bin of Younis as well if we can, I like him, but not enough to spend any money on him.
  7. I actually work in ammanford so pretty close to this, won't speculate but pretty horrific for the kids and the teacher was just doing their job
  8. Any ody got a tidy stream they could pm me please? Mines absolute shite
  9. Biggest thing for me is falling out of love with football full stop. Its not what it was, it's a business now, not a sport. Even internationals are shit these days. So I take an interest, watch when I can, but I got bigger things in my life than football.
  10. I mean trumps always been a caracuture but he's looking worse then ever. Where have his eyes gone 🤣
  11. Should find out my wage increase for the next financial year today. Hoping for some good news.
  12. I blame @Trav Le Bleu Lures me into his thread with his click bait promise of a wheel, then provides a poll. Absolutely scandalous and should not be allowed to get away with it.
  13. Thank you so much @The Doctorand @Daggers you've both given me plenty of food for thought so I can go away and reflect and do more research as I see necessary. You've both given me better responses and arguments than I have seen or heard elsewhere so cheers to you both. @Daggersin regards to your last post, I get that completely and I have no intention of being one of those people but fully appreciate your contribution so thank you. If you need to spend time away from the forum for yourself, I hope you do that, but I for one will miss your memes and witty contributions 👍 Anyway, I think I got what I was looking for so will leave the conversation there
  14. 1. 👍 2. Completely agree, but that's exactly why I'm seeking differing views and trying to broaden my understanding 3. Fair point 4. Alot of my argument is based on how others (biological females) have said they would feel in that situation. I don't think you can deal with facts when it comes to how it makes people feel. It does come back to the point above, but as a man I cannot make that judgement and I'm genuinely trying to understand better. I'll be honest and say even though I'm under 40 (just) I feel completely lost and left behind in regards to this subject. That's not something I particularly like but if I don't talk about it, I can't try and get my head around it either. 5. I don't believe my opinion is strident. I have known a few trans people when I was younger and whilst we did talk about them being trans, I feel the debate has moved on considerably since then, or maybe i was naive to it. Either way, I've lost touch with them and I'm just looking for a better understanding now. As an aside, I've just read the link shared above and it does make an interesting read on that particular situation and further highlights the issues the press are playing in regards this topic.
  15. Statistically speaking I agree, you are 100% correct. And not trying to being argumentative with you daggers but I purposely never mentioned rape as whilst it's not impossible, it's not really the concern to me on this argument. But I know it is something that some people like to throw out there so perhaps should have qualified that. But I also don't agree that any woman should have to see a cock and balls in a place where they are vulnerable. And if I get into it deep enough, I would probably agree that part of that is the psychology of having a past where men where dominant and did what they wanted to the women. So whilst I don't think rape is the key argument here, I think there's a level where it effects woman and probably some more than others in different ways, and that their thoughts and feelings should also be protected. I hope that makes sense as I'm struggling to convey my feelings as if like due to lack of sleep. I will also just add, that according to reports Lia Thomas was quite openly naked in the women's locker room with her junk out. If they were all in individual showers/ cubicles we could well be having a different conversation.
  16. @The Doctor Not trying to open up a can of worms, but interested in your viewpoint on another segment of the trans debate... What's your thoughts on issues like that of Lia Thomas, where she identified and competed as a female, including using female changing areas, but still had male genitalia. As a father of 3 daughters I have a massive issue with the idea of a cock and balls being in the female changing rooms and don't think this should be allowed or is fair on biological woman. I'm yet to hear a coherent argument against this, other than that of discrimination against the trans person which hasn't really ticked the box for me yet.
  17. Looked like minimal contact, not a foul in my opinion, struggled to see contact in the slow.mo, let alone full speed. Very very soft. That being said, if the foul was given it had to be a red card
  18. Thanks for your response, I'll be honest, with your first response quoted, whilst I could get the gist of what you were trying to say, I didn't really understand alot of the terminology used so I pretty much dismissed it. But as I understand it, please correct me if I'm wrong, what you are saying is that by allowing young people to use puberty blockers, it saves them trauma in the long run, because they can transition more easily from an earlier age. I can see the sense in that. So the flip side to that would be what happens to those who take puberty blockers, but then change their mind later down the line? Even for those that take them and don't change their mind, is their a medical risk taking them at such a young age? I honestly don't know, so ask out of intrigue and trying to get a better understanding of the issue. Going back to the first post you quoted, the bit I do dispute is the bit about puberty not being a neutral act for everyone. Whilst I concede puberty may be alot harder for some people compared to others (including trans), it is a natural part of life and growing up. This has been happening since we lived in caves so I'm not sure what your point was here.
  19. If you look back through the last 2 pages, I came into the conversation and was honest about my position. I may have unconscious bias, but I may also just have a different point of view. Rather than welcome me into the conversation and discuss the matters with me, educating me along the way, you've basically shot me down and ultimately called me a bigot. Not the best way to go imo. So I would consider myself a left leaning centrist, anti Tory and anti right wing. I have no issue with trans people but as I said earlier tend to approach things in my mind with what I consider to be a common sense approach. If you've turned me away from the conversation then how do you ever expect to win anyone over? Coz you talk about the right wing press, a point I agree with, stocking up a campaign against trans people in some sort of culture war but you can't even accept that some people such as myself, believe a decision on gender should not me made by or for children until they reach a set age. Now I don't think that's radical, it's why we don't let kids do a huge amount of things, because they aren't mature enough to make sensible decisions and the repercussions can be increased. So my challenge to you is, without sending me links, or using terminology I may not understand, show me why that viewpoint (as ignorant as I may be) is incorrect, and do it in a manner that is both understanding and inclusive. Do that my friend and you may be onto a winner.
  20. And this is the perfect example of where you and your approach to the subject are wrong and actually doing more damage to the cause of trans people 👍
  21. The reason I said forget the science, is because there's differing views across the science community as claphamfox has gone on to prove. Ultimately, my point was trying to convey, that just because people don't agree with your view point, they don't hate trans people and they don't see trans as a problem or issue. And now I'm going to bow out, reminding myself why I tend not to get involved in these debates on issues that ultimately are pretty low down on my agenda of issues in this country.
  22. See my reply above, does that class as bigotry?
  23. Ok forget your science a minute, because none of that made sense to me anyway. But is there any harm, or does it make someone anti trans, to say that being a young person going through puberty is alot in any day and age, let alone these days with social media etc. Therefore common sense would suggest that waiting until you are a bit older to make that decision, isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm happy for you to tell me this opinion is incorrect because of the science, but it's not necessarily coming from a position of hatred towards the trans community, it's just a different view point from someone who tries to apply common sense to all aspects of life. I understand your argument about the anti trans movement and certain sections of society making this an bigger issue that it doesn't need to be, but as with any argument it is never black and white and there is grey area. I understand and accept that I am not best placed to make this judgement and you are very clearly on one side of the argument but that doesn't mean this grey area doesn't exist.
  24. Isn't the issue with puberty blockers the fact that children are too young to fully understand who they really are and gender reassignment treatment should only really happen when they are older? I ask this from a place of ignorance I suppose, I find the trans debate tiresome. As a human being I'm very much a person who thinks people should live how they want too. But just reading your replies on this page are very aggressive and one sided, and that usually turns me off the debate completely.
  25. I don't care about the royals at all. But it's clear there's something weird going on behind the scenes with will and Kate. The mysterious stay in hospital, William cancelling engagements last minute for personal reasons and now picture gate. I don't think she's done anything wrong, but I doubt she edited the picture and I do think there's more than meets the eye going on at the minute. I don't care tbh, but far too many people do.
