  1. Shinji - Japan Youri - Belgium Ulloa - Argentina Wes - Jamaica Huth - Germany All pretty obvious I think
  2. Pontus kaamark our best swede. What I would do for a player like him in the current team
  3. It's one thing not being good enough and going down, but there's no fight, we are passive. West ham haven't looked good, but have won easily without getting out of first gear. It's time for ruud to go. It's not worked, it's not all his fault, but it's clear he's out of his depth and he doesn't know what to do. So he keeps trying the same thing again and again and nothings going to change.
  4. All the best Alf, You've been on here a long time and in my opinion one of the best posters around. Always worth taking the time to read one of your posts.
  5. Advice needed So I've got a 52 plate honda civic that I need to get rid of. Its recently had a new drive shaft, engine running well with no issues but it does need some work to replace part of the exhaust. Mot until October. Having looked around online, in full working order I'd be looking at it being worth £1000-£1500. If I was to scrap it, I'd get £200. So I'm looking to still sell it, with the previso it needs work and hoping to get £500-£750 for it. I've never sold a car before, let alone one that's over 20 years old, so my question is where's the best place to sell, autotrader, gumtree, Facebook or somewhere else?
  6. Can fully recommend Mo. Stumbled across it, but thoroughly enjoyable, funny and really interesting seeing the inside of a Muslim Palestinian refugee family in America. Only 2 series and short episodes, but I really enjoyed it and the final episode really made me think a bit differently about events that have happened in the middle east in recent months.
  7. If I remember correctly they went nuclear and approved hinkley point instead. But that's majority owned and run by EDF, and as has been pointed out above, their profits go back to France. So the French are more invested in our energy capabilities than we are. I knew one of the lead researchers for the barrage, he was positive it would go ahead as the key issues had been solved and whilst there were some minor bits still to overcome, I remember his disbelief when it was rejected, it made no sense then and it makes less sense now. But that was Cameron and his austerity drive. It was 100% refused based on £££, would have cost less than HS2 and given alot more back. The other big thing that's often forgotten is that the reason for the high cost of the project was it was the first of its kind, but there were plans for more and costs would go down. The same was the case for the Swansea tidal lagoon, but again very short sighted at the time meant that no money would be spent. The later issues with Russia and the price of oil, just compounded how stupid these decisions were.
  8. We were in a great place to be world leaders in tidal energy with both the Severn barrage and Swansea tidal lagoon. Both were scrapped by the Tories due to 'costs'. Those costs were minimal compared to being bent over by Russia a few years later.
  9. Mo Farah innit?
  10. All won against spurs
  11. Spurs were seeing plenty of the ball and we werent getting out of the half, he changed vardy and Bilal with the aim of having a better out ball so we could hold the ball more and it didn't make a difference, so last 10 he shored things up at the back and in midfield, to help us cope with the situation. Even if it hadn't have worked it wasn't throwing on a defender for the sake of it, I thought he called spot on and luckily spurs were shit so didn't create an awful lot.
  12. Definitely a positive if we are trimming the fat of the squad, too many players just not good enough and hanging around season after season. Even if we don't get the replacements we want and need this window, are we really worse off on the field if we lose cannon, Hamza and Thomas? Yet we could be in a much better financial situation to reset in the summer, especially when we also lose a few out of contracts with the likes of Iverson and ward. Too many shit players on good contracts, get what we can for them, they aren't contributing anyway.
  13. My gut instinct is to agree with the two previous posts, but I also think there's two sides to every story and what I would be looking for is answers from this girl. Some family's are messed up, we presume dad's come running to help her, but it could be the other way round and dad interfering where he shouldn't and her almost being controlled by dad. I've seen some weird situations in my time and I always try and avoid jumping to conclusions. So if I were you, I'd be looking to speak with this girl very seriously, I'd go into it, expecting the worse but I'd want to hear things from her and go from there.
  14. Random question, But has anyone tried wim hoffs 30-90-30 breathing technique and found it helped with stress and anxiety? I discovered it recently and it's really helped me focus, and I definitely feel calm but I'm not really an anxious person myself so intrigued how others have found it.
  15. The only noises are the PL trying to shaft us during another transfer window. We may well fail, who knows with the way we are run, but this is all just a media facade to disrupt us after we shafted them
  16. I felt very similar after season one tbh. The fact the football bits were a bit shit didn't help. What really won me round after series one was the character development. It really felt like you were on a journey with the characters and Roy in particular came out as the comedic highlight. I'd personally say it's worth preserving with, but I also get why some wouldn't. In the end, I did love it though.
  17. After not going to a proper gig for years because of the kids, I'm seeing jack white in March, Eric Clapton in May and the Offspring in November. Can't wait!
  18. He did well tonight, not alot he could do with the goals, made some good saves and looked steady. Those lambasting RVN for not picking him sooner need to remember he's coming back from an injury too. Iverson was still the obvious choice over Ward but Jakub wasn't available
  19. So it's always worth checking when shopping online and you will a quid here and there. Big purchases are well worth it, holidays booked online, large appliances etc. But the absolute winner for me is insurance. Every year I gain roughly £200 cashback using price comparison websites to not only get the best price but also cashback on top. Insurances and utility bills and TV/broadband are absolute winners to save money and get cashback too.
  20. Used it for years, saved £1000s, absolute no brainer
  21. That Kumar from the Harold and Kumar films, served as a member of white house staff during the Obama administration
  22. Much happier to have a less experienced manager on his way up than a more experienced manager thats on his way down. Yes it's a gamble but every appointment is a gamble. Ultimately, if he can galvanised the players we will be in a much better place than we were a week ago
  23. I get all my kitchen roll, bog roll, toiletries and cleaning products from home bargains. I also get some food from there including some fresh, frozen and general goods and I save a fortune compared to the supermarkets. My local home bargains is huge and by far the best shop in the area. The only downside is they don't have everything so I still have to get some bits from elsewhere.
  24. Nah **** em. I hate them and Sainsbury's for this stupid idea. Asda gone crap. Morrisons was ridiculously expensive last time I went. Lidl and Aldi are like shopping in a bin. I hate supermarkets
