Monga to Man City £10 Million - Official.
Lesta Legend replied to Aus Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wish him nothing but the very best in achieving his undoubted potential. Could have gone for far far less than the reported fee. He and his family true to their word. Go get em lad. -
We deserve everything that is coming to us sadly. A fan bases filled with stupid ‘hE’s cRAp gET rid’ and board within their infinite wisdom who decided to sanction an extension for Vestergaard and their failures have led us to academy products not signing extensions. Both now want to leave and we’ve brought in a manager who needs technically sound players. Setting itself up for a disaster again. Can’t help but to be pessimistic, while I didn’t expect Ben to leave (can’t blame him) at this stage I can’t trust our recruitment to put things right. The fact this sounds like it could drag on and Rudkin needs a few months to ask his agent mates to see what 💩 is left.

Danny Ings (signing 1 year deal, John Percy.)

That explains a lot. A risk I’d rather still take though. -

I guess this type of signing is fine like Kevin Philips was if he is merely complementing your main strikers pushing them and providing good leadership. They usually come in at the end of the window when the squad is set and you’ve got actual strikers. I’ve a bad feeling about this. Why if this isn’t an agency signing have we not signed up the multitude of free agents across the globe. i feel like we’re struggling to move on the players that must be sold so the last week of the window for whatever we can getwith a yet again ill prepared squad seems like it’ll be repeated. For the sake of the club I do hope it gets better than this if the clown thinks this is how you promote from a tough league. -
Think we rejected a loan offer a month ago. Probably realise we can’t sell him so will now return with egg on our faces accepting lower terms.

You almost start feeling sorry for him, which in itself doesn’t feel right. We know the score , same pattern each year. -

Exactly. -
This would put him in the bracket of top five biggest fees for a 16 year old. We’re league one. It doesn’t matter how it is structured. We got next to nothing for Nyoni in comparison. I’m not sure we get anyone to pay much more than what is being touted. I don’t want to give any praise to the negotiations skills of those at the club. Like some have said he’s very talented and the club have fallen so far thanks to those same people, so we have no choice but to sell. Also Enzo probably picked up the phone to Top, rather than some bean counter at Arsenal who kept going up in penny increments.

Very true. We’re run by people that should have seen the door long ago , there is zero accountability here. But even our biggest players we can’t and shouldn’t just keep a hold of them ie Tielemans goes for nothing. We just need to get better at signing players to replace them. Which is monumental task for the clowns that keep failing to do this. -

Even in the premier league we will lose our best. It’s the layer cake son and we’re at the bottom eating shït. We of course are eating lots of it due to the clowns that have got us here. -
So it can happen. Thanks Enzo.

Im sure Man City will blow them out the water, I’m sure his agent will get a bigger pay day and Monga can be persuaded. Another move is still possible. Doubt will be getting a huge amount over what we may get for arsenal, it’ll certainly get things moving.

I’m HD too.

The name alone. Brass eye esque satire.

Besides Walsh (!), Ben Wrigglesworth and Macia are just two and they were very important to the way we worked and the players we used to sign. From 2019 since macia left we’re basically relying on Congerton, Glover and Rudkin. It would tally up with the obvious timeline and decline. We often see job openings for analysts, we clearly have a high turnover and probably not seen as a good career move right now. I hope McCarron has a remit to invest and change. Time will tell.
-
Our best scouts and analysts have left, in effect i'd imagine those that remain could be decent and still utilise the methodology built from the Pearson era but they're effectively likely looking at players from a list presented to them that has likely stemmed from agents or compiled by Glover. There is absolutely no way our signings over the last few years stemmed from statistical analysis of a wide data set of players that fit a profile of player that we would need for a particular position. Jordan James a long time target alongside the likes of Lookman who leave for pastures new because the club are run by imbeciles. The issue stemmed from losing those that implemented the system under Pearson, other's leaving that knew the system and then allowing subsequent managers to have more control on who we target that likely didn't start with any scout or analyst. Our board now find themselves by the looks of it relying on strong relationships with agents rather than structure and system, it all feels rank amateur. It is why we sign the likes of Skipp, Ayew and BDR My outside hope is McCarron does indeed emphasise the need for the structure to change, clearly Rudkin shouldn't be anywhere near recruitment but only time will tell how effective McCarron can be to rebuild a broken system.

All on the ownership, it's been a disaster for many years, unhappy fans is but one consequence of the incompetance. They need to address the problems, don't blame the average fan expressing their dissatisfaction as they continue to double down. To be honest RM is their Hail Mary and he needs to succeed, the club is teetering on the edge, you will need to worry less about a toxic atmosphere if this season isn't a success. I think RM is a buffoon, I will give him a small chance to prove me wrong but I hold no faith that him and the powers that be will assemble a talented driven side capable of getting out of this league. So it will become very toxic if they fail again and they'll have no one but themselves to blame.
-
His success likely depends if the latter likely happens. It’s all on him.
-
Tielemans, we definitely scouted before Puel. Puel also wanted to bomb Vardy out. Lot of revisionism going on here. He wasn’t the worst we’ve ever had and he impeccably managed the situation when Vichai passed. But we underperformed while being very boring, he setup Rodger’s very nicely.
-
And isn’t the profile of defender RM would use.
-
Nothing announced. It’s still all very amateurish. I’d go back to the ignorance of not knowing

Ex Southampton, injury prone, would make sense !
