  1. The annoying thing is, I actually saw Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng digging with a pickaxe and I should have said something then. I mistakenly thought they were filling the holes as part of their community service for destroying the economy.
  2. Tbf, I noticed some potholes this morning, fully expecting Starmer to get here and bloody well fix them 😡
  3. My thought too. Great as a city break though as it is beautiful.
  4. Done lots over the years. Best market, probably Cologne - 7 or 8 markets spread over the city. Krakow - pretty markets, nice city and great bars Vilnius - great place, lovely locals and nice markets. My favourite though is Copenhagen, great market, beautiful place and good bars/restaurants.
  5. You sound old enough to know better than to recycle myths but here we are. Edit - I’m old enough to remember seeing Len Glover play for us
  6. You’re delusional if you think that they’ve left things in better shape than Blair/Brown

  8. I believe they’ve started the appeal process. As if they haven’t enough on their hands already though.

    Depression

MH issues can make you feel very lonely sometimes. Dealing with everyday issues whilst trying not to have a meltdown is so tiring too. Kind words and advice are incredibly therapeutic so thanks everyone.
  10. Yes, I still can't convince her to go the EV route, although she didn't dislike the Ariya so that was a plus... We've both been working since though so haven't had a chance to get our heads together. What sort of age, mileage and price are the ex demo's you have (if you still have them) You can PM if you prefer

    Depression

Thanks for the reply. I haven't even seen a GP. My health is below par but stable most of the time and I'm already taking a shedload of meds so I'm a bit reluctant. Never had anything like this, not sure what constitutes a panic attack but it's certainly how it feels - fast asleep to wide awake, palpitations and difficulty breathing normally. If it carries on I'll take your advice and see my GP, although they'll probably recommend CBT or similar (along with a long wait time). I'm hoping it subsides.
  12. Sister in law was diagnosed with stage 4 Medullary thyroid cancer last year, she was 39, underwent massive surgery on her neck and upper body, had chemo etc followed by physio as she couldn't walk properly. Her current prognosis is 5 years max. She was forced to give up her business and her husband left his job and found part time work so he was able to care for her and their three children. She just her PIP payment removed totally, apparently she is fit to work. Can't wait for these inhuman bastards to be voted out.

    Depression

So, in the last few weeks, my feelings have flitted between depression to having major anxiety. Sadness and also physical symptoms like racing heart, breathing irregularity and sweats - especially in the night. I hate what my situation is doing to my wife, it's unbearable at times. Today I feel angry.
  14. Just no. Fvck him and his ilk.
  15. "There are none so blind as those who will not see"
  16. Better off by every metric I’ve seen, and by massive amounts in some cases.
  17. Why? Seriously, what do they bring to the table?
  18. No. That's just one interpretation. Seriously worrying from Le Pen.
  19. That’s like Choosing between dog sh1t and cat sh1t
  20. Still trying to convince my wife that it’s the way to go for our uses and mileage. I’m going to look at a few today, including the Ariya. Won’t be using finance though, have a car to trade or sell privately so it would probably be a trade/cash deal I’d be looking at.
  21. How does this pair up with the falling birth rates scenario I’ve been reading about lately? Seems to be developed nations potentially having a future crisis.
  22. Incoming virus
  23. Only just seen your edit 😂 Fusspot is not a word I’ve used for her but… She’s an interior designer so very particular about aesthetics, often asks my opinion about paint colours and I swear it’s a trap and she’s showing me the same colour.
  24. This but mainly the charging and range. When she is away, it’s for a week at a time and she doesn’t trust that the charging network will be convenient enough.
