  1. Why have 40mph signs 50 yards in front of 50mph signs? [A511]
  2. Don't get me started on this. Especially coming from Stadon Road. Left lane is straight on and left. Right lane is right for BRADGATE ROAD. 2+2=5 for most drivers.
  3. Parents moaning about the traffic warden issuing tickets outside the primary school this morning..... ffs
  4. Chucked bell pepper, spring onion, chopped chicken and thinly sliced potato into an airfryer with seasoning (a lot of chilli flakes, salt, and garlic). Have no idea what made me do it, turned out nice tbf.
  5. My ears are burning. Guilty as charged. The M40 A34 junction, why queue when there are huge gaps further up 🤷‍♂️ The A1/A64 junction is exactly the same. Huge queues and yet you can safely join the lane near enough at the junction. I assume in this instance the dicks just driven to the front and expected to be let in. Arrogance, yeah fck em send them the wrong way. 🤣
  6. Like those drivers who join dual carriageways/motorways at 45mph and just expect to be let on....
  7. Who writes this carp? Who proofs it? Its 3%. 3% is not a third. 3% is not 32%.
  8. If you don't want to reverse 10 yards to allow me to pull forward and reverse into a non existant space to allow you to pass.... then you can get fckd if you think I am reversing 100 yards. Happy to sit and do my banking on my phone whilst waiting. Quite productive actually.
  9. You'd think with the Georgian architecture etc it would be upmarket. But its done the impossible. Its a fcking dump. Locals are all drugged up as well.
  10. I've lived in Manchester and worked in bookies in moss side and longsight whilst at Uni. Never an issue out and about, even in the "dodgy areas" around the Uni/where I was living. One year in Nottingham was enough. Jesus fcking christ, I did not feel safe. Neighbour robbed at knife point etc. Other issues as well. Always on edge there, something about it "an air of menace to it" sums it very well.
  11. Lorry driver nearly wiping out a car on the a50/46 junction because he was in the wrong lane and cut across at nearly a 90 degree without any self awareness. Then nearly wiping out the same car when they realised they were in the wrong lane for the a46. Then nearly wiping me out (emergency brake) when they decided to change lane when i was alongside (very near miss). And again on a roundabout when they decided to cut across my lane. By this stage I was already prepared for his idiocy. He was literally foot down if i hit you its going to hurt, get out of my way.
  12. I think the bus stop by Potters was the main culprit. Now thats been moved its not as bad.
  13. Biggest selection of beers? The Ale Wagon has quite a few.
  14. Anstey nook roundabout. Lots of near misses. Someone almost went into me last night. Coming from Stadon road. There are two lanes. The left lane is for left and straight on. The right lane is for right. There are three exits. 1) Cropston road (left) 2) To Leicester 3) Bradgate Road (right). Which lane do you need to be in to go to Leicester? Which lane do people always seem to go into?
  15. Too many. Once I went over the diagnal white lines into the lane which comes from the M69. I did this because the car in front was doing what you had described, only difference was that they had stopped at the point of the merger and put their indicator on..... I am not hanging around on a slip road. Its dangerous. The M69 lane was empty, off I went.🤷‍♂️
  16. Good reffing that. Book him for the foul, book them both for the pushing.
  17. 65mph lane 3 (by central reservation) on a semi empty M1 last night. Seriously?
  18. I'm in a similar position to OP, used to cycle etc but I'm well out of shape for fitness, and about 2stone over where I want to be. I have been rowing 10k 2 days a week which is split into x2 5ks (a "quick" 5k and a relaxed 5 with high impact sprints at the end) with a bit on a bike inbetween. Within 4-6 weeks the difference in fitness is noticeable. I have been taking it easy, without overdoing it so I started off with just doing 5k. I've lost 9lb during that period, but I have also been combining the above by watching what I eat. I drink more water (I never drank enough), eat more fruit, cut out anything I do not need (chocolate, reduced carb intake etc). I still have the odd takeaway, chippy tea, beer etc.
  19. Still going through lidls 10 beer oktoberfestival pack from last month. The lager last night kept its head very well and was certainly not flat. Some belters so far, the weakest must be about 5.5% as well.
