  1. Agreed, but I think it's different having a rough patch mid season, and then having a rough patch into the final straight. This period of games is all about momentum. And we have zilch, when everyone else is raring to go. Tough to catch up on that, as we're a bit flat footed compared to their sprinting.
  2. To be honest, we don't look like a team that should go up, whereas Ipswich and Leeds do. Playoffs here we come again.
  3. Donated! You do a fantastic job folks, can't wait to see what you do here 🥳
  4. Oh I see...I completely missed that. That's very, very odd. Did anyone talk to her about it at all?
  5. That's really encouraging that she wanted to be there even though she's not officially with the club yet. Hopefully willing to work with you all on making things better, from the moment she gets going.
  6. Like playing in the pocket, always get their way with officials, but ask a lot for wages. Or so I hear.
  7. This is exactly how I feel about it, well put! I don't think King Power are the problem. Top needs to be accountable, yes, but I don't believe for a minute that he's lost interest in a project he worked on with his late father, and where Vichai actually died. Top will forever be tied to us, and us to him. However, he's not holding people below him—whom he has trusted to look after the club—to account. Rudkin, Whelan, our financial department, the Academy (oh wait that's Rudkin again)...the lot. We need changes in the boardroom, or at least fresh blood, with real experience of success in the football industry. We have been talked a lot as a "model" club in the recent past, and that Brighton are now that "model" club, but it's not comparable. Brighton have a model, and the right staff in place to run the club well. We do not appear to have one, if not both of those things.
  8. I don't really understand why the EFL think they have any right to punish us after less than a year back in one of their divisions. Less than a season, even. It smacks of a desperate little boy trying to impress Daddy so he gets his pocket money and (maybe, just maybe) one day the respect he's never been shown before now. The PL breach, I "get" more, and blame the board for.
  9. Rutter having minor surgery, but is expected back in time for the Easter games.
  10. Finished 2-2. Thomas and Raikhy the goalscorers for us. Braybrooke went off at halftime I think, managing his minutes I imagine.
  11. Might actually do that you know...even just for the second half. Just checked it out, and why the hell we don't have this set up too baffles me!
  12. So no Alves, but Braybrooke starting at least. That's good! Is there any way to watch this, does anyone know? Be nice to watch our current U21s crop against our next batch.
  13. Southampton back ahead in the dying moments of the game.
  14. 3 losses in a row. Sure, we didn't deserve to lose against Boro, but 3 losses is 3 losses. Sort it out, Enzo, we're bottling not just the title, but automatics at the moment. Gap to second cut to 3 points. Gap to 3rd down to 5. Embarrassing performance.
  15. Bottled it. Again.
  16. Well, bugger.
  17. Interestingly they aren't saying his injury, just that he's dropped out of the squad. So presumably just for rest? Ricardo seems in pretty good spirits. Pretty nice having him in the studio to be honest, if we can't have him on the pitch!
  18. Just tuned in to LCFC TV audio and Ricardo is on with them—have they said why he's not playing?
  19. No Ricky P sucks, but otherwise that's a good side. Hopefully Ricky's being rested and we can get a good result here today. They're in good form of late. Fascinating that Nelson is in for Vesty rather than Coady. I guess Coady did play on Tuesday, but it speaks volumes for how highly Maresca rates Nelson.
  20. Don't sweat it mate. Think we're safe now.
  21. Love the guy. Just seems like a very grounded, good guy who loves playing football...for us. And he's got so much more to give, very excited to see him develop with us, especially under Enzo.
  22. Was really impressed with his energy tonight. He played the whole 120+ minutes and still seemed to have enough in the tank to run at their backline towards the end of the game, driving us forward. I think he deserves some more chances of the bench if Mavididi is tiring in some games. Whenever Stephy goes off, we lose that. Wanya could be that energy we need to keep teams pinned back when we're holding onto a lead.
  23. The inverted full back role suits him to a tee. He's come on really nicely this season, which is great to see. Fantastic game tonight, he was everywhere!
  24. It depends, I think. If more teams are level with Leeds, they're more focused on staying in the top two than catching us in 1st. Then again, that's all psychology. As Enzo says, every match is the same number of points. We just need to start winning again, and maintain the gap. As I've said elsewhere though, I don't think we will maintain that gap.
  25. Played pretty well for 60-70 minutes, was really impressed with our game management. Then we bottled it. It doesn't matter that the goals we conceded were "lucky", we still conceded three goals in a very short space of time after missing a hatful of gilt-edged chances. That's down to allowing them back into the game after controlling it, and a complete lack of composure in front of goal. So, so disappointing, and evidence that we're not as good as we think we are. We're essentially flat track bullies at the moment, and at critical moments, against decent opposition, we eventually cave. I really hope we can go on a run again, but I'm not convinced we can, and that Leeds won't continue their food form. I would be very surprised if we hold onto that 6 point lead now.
