GeorgeTheFox Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Forgive me if I'm wrong but with the teams we have to play doesn't it mean it is technically all down to us. Doesn't mean much but not relying on other results is a huge plus
AKCJ Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 It's in our own hands anyway. If we win all our games we stay up regardless (almost, we have a 3 goal swing to overturn over Hull) of how well the teams do around us.
bovril Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 No more than any other club. We still have the least points. But we're coming good at the right time and showing fighting spirit, which is great.
1993fox Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 I know it's easy to be carried away but it's not over yet. We showed why we belong in the league but we still have games to go. Classic case of winning the battle but still needing to win the war. The spirit we showed today and against WHU is making it clear we can actually complete mission impossible we just need to make sure we follow up on this.
bovril Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 I seem to remember an interview with Neil Lennon at Christmas were he said that a mini-run like this not only builds your confidence but puts pressure on the teams around us. I reckon 3 wins and a draw might just do it.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 11 April 2015 Author Posted 11 April 2015 I'm not getting carried away.a monumental comeback is still required but purely psychologically it must bring a huge boost to the lads

v6rat Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Next 4 games for us look good considering where we are. I think 7 points min, 9 points max. 3 against Burnley will be crucial.
weller54 Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 I'm not getting carried away.a monumental comeback is still required but purely psychologically it must bring a huge boost to the lads It's not quite so monumental now though!... Beat Swansea next week and it's all definitely in our own hands!
Guest Bilo Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 I think it'll take a record low amount of points to stay up this season. Sunderland and Hull have horrific run-ins and a re badly out of form, QPR have some tough games to come as do Burnley. The record low safety margin is 34 points, and that looks set to be threatened this season.

Heskey2011 Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Completely in our hands now, vardys finish tonight was incredible, where he's been the rest of the season I don't know but hats off to the lad, brave finish, loads of bottle

How many hands are there?

foxfan92 Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 It's now the games against the teams around us that matter most. It'd be nice to win against Swansea and keep this winning momentum going but the results against Sunderland, QPR and Burnley are much more important. I just hope we win those 3 games and pick up some points in others. If we do I think we'll have done enough. I just hope our game doesn't drop when playing these teams around us like it so often did in the first half of this season.

These are the most winnable games, they have little to play for. The six pointers will be so tense, we can't rely on winning just those.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Destiny is an unknown quantity, and it's bloody hard to live with sometimes.
