Finn Claw II Posted 4 June 2015 Posted 4 June 2015 14th with no real fear of relegation would be an improvement. As I dont think we will lose players, it would be nice to aim for top ten or a better cup run. Season 3 when our best players get sold, could be interesting....
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 June 2015 Posted 4 June 2015 I would settle for 14th as long as we win the FA Cup . . .
Tielemans63 Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 I'd be happy with 14th as I think a lot of clubs end up suffering from second season syndrome so if we can avoid that I'll be pretty happy. I reckon will improve very slightly and finish 13th but I honestly think we are capable of finishing 9th or 10th.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Think some people are being a bit unrealistic saying they won't be happy unless we finish top 10. Be realistic, just because we scraped survival first season and stayed up doesn't mean anything. New season, new start, I think the clubs main priority will be to stay up but in a more comfortable fashion, that would be progress. I'm not sure I agree buddy. We finished the season at a canter really, playing quick and direct football. We will hopefully retain the bulk of the squad that finished the season and there's no reason why we can't continue where we left off. We need to retain Huth and Cambi if at all possible. We've got a better left back. I'm looking forward to good things next season to be honest. That's not over inflating expectation. I think we finally look a pretty good side.

I think you need to consider that some teams that we played will not have been fully motivated as they were getting to the stage where the season was being played out with little riding on it. I do think we will do a lot better next season overall now Pearson seems to have found a system that we know how to play. 40-45 points wouldn't be a bad total at all though. Possibly more if we manage to finish the season with the same intensity as we did this season. It's a very exciting time for the club though, this season I fully expect us to stay up again and it looks like we're able to attract some top players to the club. We're on an exciting journey with Pearson, long may it continue!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 June 2015 Author Posted 5 June 2015 I would settle for 14th as long as we win the FA Cup . . . Greedy fella.
