ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 I bought this off eBay a few weeks ago as an impulse buy but I really haven't got anywhere to put it up at home and I could do with the cash for my holiday. I paid £45 for it but will sell it for £35 if anyone is interested? I believe it's from the 00-01 season. I recognise Tim Flowers, Steve Guppy, Darren Eadie, Andy Impey, Matt Jones and Muzzy Izzet's signatures but I couldn't tell you exactly who the rest of the signatures belong to! Due to it being a pretty fragile item I would prefer cash on collection. I live in Northampton but I'm regularly in Market Harborough if it's easier. The frame is in good condition and the shirt has been professionally mounted. Due to the age of it the shirt has started to go a bit yellow but still a nice collectable or gift for someone.
purpleronnie Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 more often than not. ebay = fake when it comes to signed shirts.
purpleronnie Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 it's true, I'm sure you wouldn't want another leicester fan buying a fake shirt now would you, but i'm sure theres plenty who aren't bothered in proof of it's authenticity, but fans should be aware that's all.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 June 2015 Author Posted 22 June 2015 Of course not, but I have no reason to believe this isn't genuine (I recognise several of the signatures from other bits I have collected) and I don't see the need for you to make such a sweeping comment about it being likely to be fake!
purpleronnie Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 It's not sweeping at all, I researched it in depth a couple of years ago and a large percentage of all autographs are fake. There is now plenty of information online about it.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 June 2015 Author Posted 22 June 2015 I'm not disputing that but as I said, I have no reason to think these signatures aren't genuine. I'm not looking to con anyone, I just thought it might interest people on here
purpleronnie Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 I'm not disputing that but as I said, I have no reason to think these signatures aren't genuine What proof did you receive? There could be a case to get your money back.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 June 2015 Author Posted 22 June 2015 I really can't be arsed with this, mods feel free to delete this thread.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 June 2015 Author Posted 22 June 2015 Think what you like fella, I wasn't trying to con anyone.
purpleronnie Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Think what you like fella, I wasn't trying to con anyone. I never said you were. Surely if you have proof that would a great selling point, if you received none then theres a good chance you would get your money back from the person who sold it to you.
Houdini Logic Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Even if it is fake - £35 for a 15 year old framed shirt doesn't sound unreasonable to me
purpleronnie Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Even if it is fake - £35 for a 15 year old framed shirt doesn't sound unreasonable to me It's not the money, it's whether the buyer realises it might not be genuine, if they do then so be it, unfortunately a huge amount of people buy these blindly belieiving what they have is the real deal. In a round about way I was trying to help Rob because he could have a case to get his money back instead of reselling.
Wymsey Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Doesn't look 'professionally done;. Looks like it's been shoved in, by looking at the arms and waist area.

It looks better in the flesh to be honest, the frame is a deep box style and it's been pinned in a ruched way to give it more of a 3D look if that makes sense.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Got Cambiasso to personally sign mine and photographs to prove it. Not that I'll ever sell it!
Bayfox Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Which sig do you believe to be muzzys. Cuz if it's the one dead centre under the logo. It's not.
blue army 1988 Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 Got Cambiasso to personally sign mine and photographs to prove it. Not that I'll ever sell it! How did you get him to do that? Did you contact the club or just wait for him after a game. If love to have a signed shirt by him.

blue army 1988 Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 Might be a problem unless you can travel to the states! Or I could just stay on Leicester and see him next season
Guest Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 Or I could just stay on Leicester and see him next season I like your optimism but I'm not sure we'll have a pre-season friendly at home to any MLS teams.

Got to the ground before KO. It was the same day the club started selling them with an authentication certificate for £100+ so was concerned that he'd refuse to do it.
