BigMicky Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 I suspect we won;t hear anything from NP until compensation is sorted and even then there might not be much said. I don't think the owners will say much else because they don't say much publicly anyway. Cheers Geoff, thought as much.
whitlock Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 I wonder if the players will keep the same stance and pie off Stringer? I bet that little cretin is loving all of this.
LAprice_ Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 If Pearson was sacked because of the Thailand thing, why wasn't he fired immediately after it happened or even straight after the three players got the bullet? Something else is clearly at play here. From what I gather it came as a bolt from the blue to almost everyone in the club yesterday. Usually the media get wind of things in advance but not on this occasion. Pearson also gave the green light to the three signings who came in so the owners clearly backed his judgement as recently as late last week. This is the point I've been trying to reiterate. The owners have always supported Pearson. His dismissal was clearly not for footballing reasons and as for the "incidents", well, most were nothing stories anyway. There's so much more to this that we don't know and probably never will know. We just need to trust the owners and look forward to the future.
Jon the Hat Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 I trust the owners too. Nigel took us up, but they are the foundations he used. I believe he is a good manager, and will make it, but he is not proven at this level, there are better managers out there. I sincerely hope they are correct in thinking we can attract one.

I don't think the owners will say much else because they don't say much publicly anyway. I said this in another thread but I doubt we will hear anything more until the LMA has been consulted. That seems the logical thing to do in any case. But that being said I did just see an article about our boys returning to training and they looked to be very happy to be back. They may have been managed by NP but they played for LCFC and that shirt and that badge and in that stadium. I have to believe they still want that regardless of who their manager is.
hackneyfox Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Was it really out the blue? Odds had been slashed on him getting the sack.
ScouseFox Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Was it really out the blue? Odds had been slashed on him getting the sack. yeah twenty minutes before it was announced. It'd been coming for all of... twenty minutes.

Waiting for him to get the signings in before closing the door on him? Thailand or not, we can blame the owners but for all any of us actually knows Pearson might well have strode into the boardroom wearing an ostrich suit whilst shagging a thai prostitute.

This is the answer to the mystery of his sacking.
