Well said Col. A fine post, that totally sums up some of the ludicrous, puerile, and ignorant posts, of a fair few empty headed, retards.

Can't say the same about your post.....how pathetic with the ignorant name calling

Apart from a direct quote from the club, which is not the case for any other supposed contract offer for other managers.

The way I see it we have 2 choices, believe the only direct statement from any official source about Ranieri being the first choice, and no other managers were offered the role and turned us down.

Or we can speculate and in some cases downright lie about what the club have done, trying to undermine and discredit the club we are supposed to support.

Seems an obvious choice to me.

Or, this could be one of those very rare occasions when both sides of the argument are correct, we could have approached Hiddink & O'Neill and been turned down, started the interview process with all the other candidates out of which, Ranieri became first choice.

Seems perfectly feasible to me, and fits with everything we've read or heard and is the most likely course of events. Not that any of this even matters, Ranieri is the manager now and that's all there is to it. I'll be supporting him till I have good reason not to.

I'll praise Pearson regardless of how we do this year. He's the main reason we are where we are.

Why is paul lambert considered a bad manager then? He got Norwich from league 1 to Premiership.

Doesn't mean anything. There's a lot of bullshit spoken by clubs, players and managers in the press just so you don't get the Stringers of the world doing their thing. I don't blame them for it. Nor do I think him being first choice or not actually matters one bit now.

Because you're only remembered for your last job by the vast majority of people.

Oh right. Just many people laughed at him becoming our manager when it was rumoured. He has achieved the same as pearson.

He did do pretty badly at Villa though and Pearson is yet to do that.

Sacked over the phone? That was a daily mirror rumour, get real. That he didn't know anything about a breakdown I believe was a rumour starred on here by one of the crazy heartbroken kids. Get real. Stop spreading sh1t when you know the square root of fvck all about what has gone on, either that or seriously go and support someone else.

Pearson not knowing about a breakdown was being reported on East Midlands News bulletins, Radio Leicester and I heard it on one of the bulletins on Gem as I'm being forced to listen to it at the moment. It was certainly in at least one of the papers as well because I read it but I don't remember which, it wasn't the Mirror though. The first you heard of it may have been reading it on here but it didn't originate here.

Amazing how many people believe the press when it suits their argument. When it's something they don't want to believe it's lazy journalism or down right lies.

He certainly isnt by Norwich fans, though they are still annoyed how he left.

I don't disagree, approaching O'Neill or Hiddink first doesn't mean they were first choice, just the first people they approached. If we had approached them first and then by some miracle got Klopp then nobody would even question he was first choice.

We don't know how many people actually spoke to the club, a lot of names were in the frame, but when they had to choose which of the available applicants to go for their first choice was Claudio.

There is no reason to suggest we offered anything to O'Neill or Hiddink we may have approached them to see if they should even be considered they were not available so we moved on.
