ImBlue Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I couldn't believe my ears. Blokes most likely with daughters around 14 shouting the name of a charged (yet to be convicted of course) child groomer. Did anyone else think it was in terrible taste from the Sunderland fans?
Swarles Barkley Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Well he hasnt been convicted yet....so no. All that innocent until proven guilty Could be argued that us chanting paedophile was in pretty bad taste as well.
gw_leics772 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Was talking about him at the game, I know it is innocent until proven guilty and all that, but the Crown Prosecution believe they have a good enough case to charge him. What does it take. Id like to think Leicester would have more decency than to play him.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 So you're saying because he's been charged the case is as good as finished and hes guilty? Blokes innocent until hes proved guilty and convicted. Pretty pointless post. Blokes an idiot for getting himself in this sort of position but shouldn't be labelled as anything until convicted. Hes a Sunderland player they're gonna cheer him.
jimmeh Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 There's no way on earth a professional footballer would sleep with a minor, knowing she was underage. She would have told him she's 19 or something and he was probably drunk. Some people in this world are out to get famous anyway possible.
ImBlue Posted 8 August 2015 Author Posted 8 August 2015 I stated already he hasn't been convicted,. Simply saying giving support to someone charged with sex offences with minors and awaiting trial may become to be in very bad taste in hindsight, if as most suspect, he us convicted. Not writing him off as guilty stance is different to chanting his name..

I'd back myself to spot a 14 year old over 2-3 months
jimmeh Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 . It wasn't once, it was grooming over a period of months.. I'd back myself to spot a 14 year old over 2-3 months Don't believe it for a second. U really think that a pro footballer millionaire, who could get most women in the country, is going to groom a 14 year old
ImBlue Posted 8 August 2015 Author Posted 8 August 2015 Don't believe it for a second. U really think that a pro footballer millionaire, who could get most women in the country, is going to groom a 14 year old The police and crown courts obviously do..Jimmy saville probably didn't need to and wasn't short of a few bob ..
BoyJones Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 More importantly, he was basically rubbish today and probably doesn't warrant a starting place anyway.
filbertstreet Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Don't believe it for a second. U really think that a pro footballer millionaire, who could get most women in the country, is going to groom a 14 year old you could say that about jimmy saville or the bloke from lostprophets though
foxychik Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 While we should be careful, as there has been no conviction as yet a few things jump to mind - if he's slept with a minor 'groomed' or not a the very least is is statutory rape as a minor cannot give sexual consent in the eyes of the law. If the girl was in the club and drunk or not who let her in / got her drunk - it seems to be pretty difficult get into these places these days if you look anywhere close to underage - and isn't getting a minor drunk with the intent of sleeping with them 'grooming'. And I'm sorry but 'she looked 16' doesn't really cut it as a defence - looking 16 means she she very easily be 13, unfortunately some young girls ( and boys ) are very impressionable and this makes them very easy targets for sexual predators, it certainly doesn't make it right to sleep with them. Just IMO - things like this generally do not get anywhere near the courts without a whole load of evidence and there is a good chance of conviction.
