Guest CityFan 06 Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Have to say I've been very impressed with him since he's come into the side. He already looked good when he came on against West Ham, and since then his overall game has been great. First touch, work rate, bringing others into the game and much more. It's nice to see him playing so well because he's got a superb attitude.
Filbert_Ross Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Thought he was brilliant yesterday. Shame he couldn't smash that chance in after he chested it down
Clever Fox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 He's been brilliant in the last two games. Which is why I think he should stay in the team along with Vardy next week. He protects the ball better than Shinji, and is clearly a better Goal threat. One they don't get in each others way. had he taken another second to compose himself yesterday he could very well have secured the win.
mannyzlcfc Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Thought he was brilliant yesterday. Shame he couldn't smash that chance in after he chested it down I think he saw Gray coming in and wanted to lay it off, until Rooney pulled Gray back, then had to snatch at the chance.
ImBlue Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 It's a shame after the performances in the last 2 that he will be dropped Saturday.
Len Finsbury Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 He also defended set pieces well yesterday. Most people are of the opinion that he'll be sold in the summer but sometimes you need someone who offers something a little different.
ImBlue Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Will be between him and Shinji to start with Vardy Saturday. His attitude has been superb, come in when needed and put in 2 huge shifts. Only Ngolo covered more ground in the last 2 games. Now he's shown the determination, fight and shown he is willing to run his backside off for the cause, he has to start over Shinji. He carries a bigger threat in an attacking sense with more goals and assists this season which is amazing if you complete there starts/playing time. Holds he ball up better, better defensively from set peices. Leo has stepped up when we needed him most (3 goals since Vardy got sent off), and doesn't deserve to be dropped.
norwichfox Posted 2 May 2016 Author Posted 2 May 2016 I've no cause for concern now, showed himself to be a squad player with his attitude and application of late.
shen Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 He's been as good as we could have hoped at this crucial time. He won the majority of the aerial duels yesterday and links up well. I counted a couple of vital defensive headers too. Amazing to see him and Albrighton on the pitch at the same time... I was starting to think there must be something we don't know about that kept one out for the other

He won't be dropped Bluey but will come on after Shinji has done his bit ie ran them ragged and maybe even scored a goal. Then Leo will have even more impact and will have enough gas in the tank to run his bolox off to the final whistle. That's the way we do it and part of our success. They have pretty much been a double act for some time and as such have been superb .... When asked to put in a full stint they can do it .... But only just.

Reverse the roles if you like. He's been patient, waited for his chance and delivered. What message does it send if he's dropped? Shinji has been average, if you're being kind.

No when he's ran them ragged. And the only message it gives out is that we are back to our best forward combo. I really think reversing the roles would not help. Leo is much more effective when the opposition is tired. Shinji Leo ... It just works !
