norwichfox Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Somehow expecting him to be gone in this transfer window or the next....I gather he made a hasty exit after his momentary appearance today. Any thoughts or rumours flying around yet?
ImBlue Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Not playing because we are winning, we won't always be and will get his chance. Should have come on a lot earlier today so was unfortunate in that sense and his only touch was dreadful.
Buzzell Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Reason he hasn't started is purely down to the team playing well. He should get his chance against Bury in which, hopefully, he takes which could possibly spur on to maybe a start against Bournemouth. Remember it's still very early into the season. Plenty of games to go. Ulloa will be needed. Same goes with Kramaric.
STUHILL Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 If he wants to leave then would only let him if we have someone else lined up (Austin etc). He is useful striker to have though as different from the other 3 and a real aerial threat. Only 4 strikers here so he will get his chance if he's patient. Score a couple on Tues and he will be firmly in Claudio's plans
HankMarvin Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 His a good player as a target man, you would think that with our wingers that he is worth at least 30 mins a game, but i guess the tinker man is showing faith in shinji given his previous dispalys
norwichfox Posted 22 August 2015 Author Posted 22 August 2015 Agree he should have come on earlier, and personally wouldn't like to see him leave yet, useful when rotating players and cover for injuries, but I think he may be getting a bit miffed with not getting playing time.
foxfanazer Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Hope not. Really like Leo! Gives us a different option to our other more pacey strikers
Ricey Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Should have come on earlier today, Okazaki was bullied out of the game.
cc_star Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Needed him today, would've started him or brought him on far, far earlier Great asset when we need to mix it up & provides invaluable options others don't. Not only knows where the net is and would benefit from Albrighton/Mahrez crosses, but our attempts at heading away at corners today was atrocious
The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 I quite like him, but I rate Kram over him. I can't imagine a player like Leo who had quite a good record in his debut season will be content is just being a squad player. Him going now could be quite good as we might retain the amount we paid, but I'd like to see him stay a little while.
Kitchandro Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 As others have said he or Krama (both in my opinion) should have come on earlier, probably around the hour mark. Vardy and Okazaki looked knackered and the other two are more than capable of making a difference. Slight gripe in a mainly positive display.
AJSLCFC Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 I think he should have come on at 70th min today and shinji looked to slow today also with the long ball game we lose possession quite easily. His set piece presence is missed at times
Harry - LCFC Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 I don't think not playing for three games is a sign that a player is on his way out. I might change my mind if he doesn't get picked when Vardy or Okazaki lose form.
Izzy Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 He was only brought on for the last 30 seconds so Mahrez could get a standing ovation. Bit of a piss take really as he had no time to do anything. I'd be a bit annoyed if I was him. Top scorer last season and loses his place to a new signing with no PL experience. Up to CR to manage this situation and it must be difficult to keep everybody happy at the moment I guess.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 I thought he looked like he couldn't wait to get on today, he seemed really annoyed that Riyad was killing time. So he clearly still wants to play for us, but is he patient?
Riot Van Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Him or Krama should of come on for Shinji today. He was poor and I was bewildered as to why we didn't take him off.
TOMBlcfc Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Nah I think he'll stay. No doubt that he'll play a part this season, only target man we have and will deffo be needed. Was probably needed earlier today as well
Jimmy Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 watch him score a hat-trick Tuesday then have a run of starts

He was clearly substituted because Spurs were in possession in our half with a minute of added time to go. Ranieri chose to waste time and do his bit to secure the point.

I think he can be a good squad player for us - he's a great striker but he's at best our 3rd best centre forward at the moment.
jammie82uk Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Him or Krama should of come on for Shinji today. He was poor and I was bewildered as to why we didn't take him off. Behave will you
Tuna Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Love it, people criticizing tinkerman for not tinkering early enough. They're right though.
Frank to be Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Being good in the air he's a different prospect to our other strikers and could come in handy in a multitude of situations. He should get plenty of opportunities this season. Not so sure about Kramaric but he's fairly young and has time on his side.

shen Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Behave will you Shinji was poor today, despite his work rate.
