Nalis Posted 10 October 2015 Author Posted 10 October 2015 This has been a really open and decent game so far. Still want Scotland to go through but wouldnt begrudge a Samoa win.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 I'd love the Scotch to fluff it and Japan to go through. I'd love it even more if Samoa get a win in the process.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 I'd love the Scotch to fluff it and Japan to go through. I'd love it even more if Samoa get a win in the process. Me too. Though I think Wales could easily beat both but probably have more injuries against Samoa Samoa's lack of kicking will probably cost them though. Scotland really are the poor cousins of the UK.
Nalis Posted 10 October 2015 Author Posted 10 October 2015 Bit of an anti climax that, what the hell was the Samoan player doing, would have got the try enventually. Still a great first half though.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 It wouldn't be the Pacific Islands without some rush of blood stupidity to be fair.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Probably not but if they get the next score or two the Scotch might just bottle it. Another yellow card for the jocks could do wonders for Samoa. Samoan discipline massive now.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Too many mistakes by Samoa but surely Scotland are going to be embarrassed by either Wales or Australia.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Not embarrassed but probably overwhelmed. Scotland will be solid, organised, professional and neither Wales nor Australia will play as open and adventurous as Samoa did in the first half. I'd expect either game to be close up to the last twenty and Australia to win by about ten or Wales to win by about five.
The Doctor Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Scotland must be the only country to get worse at any sport the more they settle into a tournament/qualification stage
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 To be fair, Samoa have played below themselves at this world cup. They're a good side, I'd argue they're about par with Scotland and there's no shame or surprise in this being close. If they had the discipline and fitness that Scotland do, or even just a coach of the same calibre, they'd be a real force. I was thinking earlier about how much I'd love to see a best Samoan XV including those that represent other nations. Tim Nanai-Williams, Julian Savea, Ma'a Nonu, Sonny Bill Williams, Lelia Masaga, Christian Lealiifano, Augustine Pulu, Ben Tameifuna, Kevin Mealamu, Census Johnson, Will Skelton, A Lock, Jerome Kaino, Victor Vito, Ardie Savea. That'd win a world cup.
Nalis Posted 10 October 2015 Author Posted 10 October 2015 They deserve at least 1 bonus point but hopefully get 2!
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 I'm obviously biased being a complete J-phile but I still think that's a massive injustice to Japan. They've been absolutely brilliant and I still think the turnaround before their game against Scotland was criminal. I think if they'd had a full week's rest that would have been a hugely different game.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Haha Kate singing along. Good girl. Heart says Wales by five, head says Australia by ten. Think we'll surprise Seth Efrika though.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 And straight away we see why England couldn't qualify. Scrum was shit. That's was the difference between sus and both teams that qualified.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 And straight away we see why England couldn't qualify. Scrum was shit. That's was the difference between sus and both teams that qualified. It was a lot more than just the scrum when you played Australia to be fair. About time they start using thus over head camera to ping Sio though. I'm not sure he's scrummaged legally once in this world cup yet.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 One thing from the Samoa game how come no-one got yellow carded with so many penalties for England you'd have had 3 men binned!
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Not sure I agree. They weren't consistently making the same offences or offending in the same area. It was just inaccurate and jaded play really.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Biggar has missed - Wales are finished. Not sure I agree. They weren't consistently making the same offences or offending in the same area. It was just inaccurate and jaded play really. They were in the same area and there were how many?
