Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 1. Morgan 2. Moore 3. Wasyl 4. Benalouane 5. Huth 6. Schmeichel 7. Kante 8. Ulloa 9. Drinky 10. Inler 11. Vardy 12. Albrighton 13. King 14. Schlupp 15. Mahrez Reckon they'd give Wales a good game tbh Some terrible calls there. A full back has to be able to defend, Mahrez is a winger all day long. Drinkwater is your ten all day long, I'd actually make a shout for Vardy being either a flanker or the scrum half. He's got the attitude for a nine or the fight and front line ball winning of a flanker.
pSinatra Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 We were knocked out the World Cup in the last quarter of an hour against Wales. This game just emphasises how far behind the Southern Hemisphere we (& the rest of the 6 Nations) really are. To even think we could win the whole thing was mental. England have been given a reality check by Wales & now the Aussies

Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Clive Woodward, England world cup winning coach: Burgess and Farrell should have both been carded. Red tinted glasses.

Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 We don't have any players who can defend Finners. Albrighton is clearly your full back. Great right boot, good energy, reasonable turn of pace, good set piece, best defending of our wingers.

Vacamion Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Clive Woodward, England world cup winning coach: Burgess and Farrell should have both been carded. Red tinted glasses. Yeah, cos Sir Clive would totally have been on board with your "nasty northern chav" chat. Sigh.
Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Mahrez is your winger. As long as you've got one big unit of a winger you can afford to have a Shane Williams or a Simon Zebo on the other side. That's clearly Mahrez. He'd have the greatest sidestep in the world. Knocky at half back is a great shout. He's got it all. The shimmy, the step, the lip, the swagger. Shame he's got the pace of a twenty stone prop.
Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Yeah, cos Sir Clive would totally have been on board with your "nasty northern chav" chat. Sigh. Oh that's what upset you? Cmon Vac, you're not that soft. For balance, Gavin Henson is a tacky bronze pykie and Mike Phillips is a backwards, knuckle dragging, valleys caveman.
Guest ttfn Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 We would have the slowest pack in history with my team.
Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 We would have the slowest pack in history with my team. Wasyl, fastest prop in the league. Actually, second thoughts, Wasyl would be ****ing terrible in any sport with a tmo.
BlueSi13 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Just reading one of the Rugby forums and this poster pretty much sums this farce up for me. "the problem is the result has buried English rugby as a team that the wider nation will get behind. so many transient fans will have tuned in and watched us capitulate against Wales and then not turn up against Australia. a home world cup for f**k sake and we've been utterly, utterly humiliated." A hugely damaging week for the sport of Rugby in England IMO. Sure it has its small hardcore who will continue to follow it. But this tournament was about growing and expanding the support base of the game. It's a missed opportunity that the RFU will struggle to recover from.

Izzy Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 He should be gone tonight IMO, why hang around like a bad smell after THAT shower? Lancaster did well to rim his way to getting a contract until 2020. If the RFU fvck him off now he'll get one hell of a big pay off. Contracts should be based on results not potential.

For balance, Gavin Henson is a tacky bronze pykie and Mike Phillips is a backwards, knuckle dragging, valleys caveman. No. You are right. I'm not that soft... You have seemed a little keen to criticise and add derogatory comments about English players though. Far be it from me to try to reason with a chippy Celt. We lost. Deservedly. Enjoy it (as you obviously are doing). Whilst I'm not looking forward to Monday morning, I'll try to enjoy the rest of the tournament.
Rincewind Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 England, my only reason to consider watching this tournament have blown it big time. I can now do more interesting things. Just seen that some American type rugby is on BBC2 tomorrow, Not a fan of that either reallt.
Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wasyl, Wasyl, Wasyl Huth, Ulloa, Vardy, Morgan, Hammond SH: Kante, FH: Drinkwater, IC: Inler, OC: Moore W: Schlupp, FB: Albrighton, W: Mahrez Moore has a remarkably similar body type to Manu Tuilagi, reminds me of him a lot. I think Kante would be an excellent squirrelly scrum half, his tackling would be important around the loose, don't underestimate the tackling a scrum half needs to do. See Peter Stringers famous tap tackling. Wasyl is our only real front row forward. Morgan loves a good rampage with the ball and with his dimensions is our only really appropriate number eight. Drinkwater runs everything. Schlupp would be our Lomu, North, Savea, etc. Fast and lethal and also solid as a rock, would hurt to tackle him (headbutt spree last year.) Vardy and Hammond are both reliable ball winners, Vardy is your Hooper, fast, contributes well to attack, tackles everything that moves near him, first out of the line to charge down the opposition. Hammond is your Dan Lydiate, straight in there to mop up loose ball.
Vacamion Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wasyl, Wasyl, Wasyl [...] Wasyl is our only real front row forward. He could probably slip his binding, bore in and have his hips above his body, but when the ref goes to blow he gives him THAT stare... Btw, as a prop, I played against Rowntree when I was a young man. Utterly mullered me and made me squeal like a piggy.
Finnegan Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Yeah but you've probably got better ears than him now. Swings and roundabouts. Can you imagine Wasilewski saying "sorry sir" to our Nige?
Guest Posted 4 October 2015 Posted 4 October 2015 England rugby has finally synced up with england football's habit of bowing out in spectacularly underwhelming fashion. Get the cricket on side again and it will become an integral part of the national identity.
