Lionator Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 Ireland have been decent but France are toothless in every way. Of course they'll turn it on next week though.
katieakita Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 Do you think the French understand by losing this they get to play the All Blacks. Fair play Ireland but with the injuries and the guy surely getting a citing from the 1st half looks a good bet for an all southern hemisphere semi final line up.
Izzy Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 Thought Ireland were absolutely outstanding against France. And what brilliant support they had. Now England are out, I wouldn't mind at all if the Irish won the World Cup. Good luck to them.
Nalis Posted 12 October 2015 Author Posted 12 October 2015 Happy enough with that bar the injuries and O'Brien's inevitable citing for his moment of madness. Good to see Madigan have a decent game (shows some people's perception pre tournament of Ireland as a one man team is bollocks). Henderson looked immense again, surprised he was dropped but looks like he'll get a run now thanks unfortunately to O'Connell's injury. Aussies to walk into the semis Wales to just get past South Africa New Zeland to make hard work out of France Ireland to scrape past the Argies in a very tight game.
Finnegan Posted 12 October 2015 Posted 12 October 2015 Australia by 20. New Zealand by 15+. Ireland by 10+. Wales by 3 in an awful game, if our defence shows up. SA by 10+ if we start missing tackles and giving up every set piece. Also, never heard anyone describe Ireland as a one man team. Anyone who's anyone knows their strength is in the pack, the loose forwards especially. If you're a one man team that one man did go off injured yesterday but he's big, ugly and bald. O'Connell is probably the most influential leader in world sport at the moment. He's a massive loss.
Guest Posted 13 October 2015 Posted 13 October 2015 France have the players but they are not being picked. That centre pairing is out of date and they have so many skilled players that could replace Basteraud.
Finnegan Posted 13 October 2015 Posted 13 October 2015 Basteraud is bollocks but Fofana is probably their only decent player.
Donut Posted 13 October 2015 Posted 13 October 2015 Basteraud is bollocks but Fofana is probably their only decent player. Rugby is shit, and only a handful of fat gay toffs even know who they are.

Guest Posted 14 October 2015 Posted 14 October 2015 Basteraud is bollocks but Fofana is probably their only decent player. Fofana should be in without question. It's like playing Burgess instead of Joseph.
Finnegan Posted 14 October 2015 Posted 14 October 2015 Burgess has been made an unnecessary scapegoat tbh. He looked much better than Brad ****ing Barritt.
Guest Posted 14 October 2015 Posted 14 October 2015 Burgess has been made an unnecessary scapegoat tbh. He looked much better than Brad ****ing Barritt. I nearly put Brad but really Burgess is just the Brad replacement. Playing them together is exactly the mistake France made against Ireland. Not really a scapegoat - he should never have been called up. Then again Armitage, Hartley and Tuilagi should have been in the squad ...
Finnegan Posted 14 October 2015 Posted 14 October 2015 Agree on Armitage, although anyone English thinking he'd make the difference single handedly is kidding themselves. He'd still have lost the battle to Pocock and Hooper and probably Lydiate and Warburton. Certainly an improvement on your back row though. Don't agree with Manu and Hartley, though. I like that they made a disciplinary decision and stuck to it regardless of the world cup.

Dont think it will happen but I'd be really happy of one of the Northern Hemisphere teams win it, some amount of southern hemisphere arrogance being spouted this week. On a side note, felt for the 2 Scottish lads out of the tournament, Sean O'Brien fortunate to only get banned for 1 game.
Finnegan Posted 14 October 2015 Posted 14 October 2015 It's not really arrogance from the southern hemisphere, they're just a lot better than we are from the ground up.
Guest MattP Posted 14 October 2015 Posted 14 October 2015 Australia and New Zealand comfortably. South Africa to edge out Wales. Argentina to shock a Ireland side down to the bare bones.
Nalis Posted 17 October 2015 Author Posted 17 October 2015 Decent game so far this, Wales need to make these chances count and more importantly, stop giving away penalties in dangerous areas.
Mike Oxlong Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 C'mon Wales. Would like to see good Northern Hemisphere representation in the semis
Vacamion Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Whatever happens, this has been an immense defensive effort by Wales...
Nalis Posted 17 October 2015 Author Posted 17 October 2015 Good offload for the try, gutted for Wales. Disappointing but still time. Wales had chances in the first half they must rue.
Nalis Posted 17 October 2015 Author Posted 17 October 2015 Something quite dislikable about South Africa, even more so than the Aussies. Hope they get hammered by the All Blacks (or France...).
MooseBreath Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 The commentator then "it was a proud performance, passion, pride, passion, the Welsh can be proud, such passion, pride." They fvckin lost mate, they're out.
ScouseFox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 haha wales more like wheeeeyales am i rite finners
