Nationwider Posted 8 September 2005 Posted 8 September 2005 Looks like they're going to fall 50-100 short of a good score. Having said that, what the hell is a good score against McGrath, Lee and Warne? England have dug in plenty of times over the last 2-3 years, often with someone surprising chipping in with vital runs/wickets. 350-ish might look ok by Friday night if England bowl accurately.
Janx Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 373 all out. Not bad. Bring 'em on! 30 mins crack at em before lunch, lest have em out, I would accept a wicket before lunch
Cobbo Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 Aussies about 20-0 at Lunch. Gerrin to 'em, fork 'em up! This is cricket boy, not some yobbo football match. Tut.
Guest Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 i dare you to say that to his face when he has a cricket ball in his hand I once did, although he didn't have a cricket ball in his hand at the time. I was also having an asthma attack at the time, so I was having a fair bit of trouble articulating myself, to be fair.
Katy Posted 9 September 2005 Author Posted 9 September 2005 Hmm when the racing was on you could hear the cricket commentry over the top a bit, also Richie B sounded well echoey but it seems to have sorted itself out now. Treskers has just fluffed a catch come on England!
Fox 4 Life Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 I think weve fooked it to be honest! Unless we get some quick wickets, all we have to do now is hope and pray for some of Britains good old rain!!
rossporterlc Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 nice to have the rest of the day rained off, all we need now is for a day of rain tomorrow and i thin the draw is the favourite result
john_lcfc Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 forecast for saturday at the oval is i kinda want rain so we have a better chance of winning but also want to see cricket
davieG Posted 10 September 2005 Posted 10 September 2005 138 for 0 - Rain stopped play TFFT. Only the weather can save this game for England or a monumetal collapse - yes please
Fox 4 Life Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 Cmon - get in now 356-6!! Freddie is on fire!! All we have to do now is get some quick wickets or hold them off and then bat tomorrow and the ashes are ours!!
Libertine Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 Looked unlikely earlier, but Super Fred has turned it around!
Libertine Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 Warne out I think YES HE IS!! Oh Freddie Freddie!
davieG Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 138 for 0 - Rain stopped play TFFT. Only the weather can save this game for England or a monumetal collapse - yes please

Fox 4 Life Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 Thank god for light!!! We need to stay composed and get as many runs as we can, as this is very dangerous territory at the moment! We need a BIG score and some rain!!
Northants Fox Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 Thank god for light!!! We need to stay composed and get as many runs as we can, as this is very dangerous territory at the moment! We need a BIG score and some rain!! Still no play, hopefully won't be till tomorrow
rossporterlc Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 no play until tomorrow then hopefullly a comfortable win, with no england collapse
Little Nicky Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 I think we'll be skittled by tea tomorrow! And then the Aussies will need a few hudred to win which they won't be able to muster, It could well be riveting, or incredibly horrifying! COME ON ENGLAND!
john_lcfc Posted 11 September 2005 Posted 11 September 2005 i think we will be bowled out for something like 180 but light will take over being half way thru september nearly now there coming the ashes are coming home
