Brown Fox Posted 10 March 2016 Posted 10 March 2016 On a plane back from Copenhagen a few weeks ago. There was a load of kids with Fc Midtjylland track suits probably their youth academy coming over to watch the Man U match. Sitting behind them minding my own when 3 of them start singing Jamie Vardy's having a party. Was class!
FoxonMaui Posted 10 March 2016 Posted 10 March 2016 Happened to me last week. I was in San Diego California for an annual health check up. Was sat in the doctors office waiting for a doctor I had never met before. Had my I pad open and was on Leicester Mercury sports reading a city related story. The Doctor came through the door and sees the headline on the I pad and goes "I am a Leicester fan!! " .After the shock wore off I informed him I am a lifetime City fan (53 years to be exact). Cue a bizarre 30 minute gushing Doctor telling me he had become a huge fan through colleague who had been a City fan for many years. He started watching us last year and went through "the great escape". Here in the US you can watch all City's games live on NBC and NBC extra, and he knew all the players and all the games .now he cannot bear to miss a game. He was so excited to find a "true Leicester fan" that he hardly had time to tell me that I was in fine health.....!!'
Bayfox Posted 10 March 2016 Posted 10 March 2016 I always got told don't talk to strangers. But on the way back from holland at the start of Feb the customs guy spotted from our passports and asked if we supported our local team. Then made some witty remark about I bet we didn't till this year. Bastard.
LanguedocFox Posted 10 March 2016 Posted 10 March 2016 I was on a bus in Clapham last Sunday, in a traffic jam. I was wearing my City woolly hat (it was fvckin freezing) and miles away, just daydreaming, when I noticed that a 30-something couple on the side of the road were grinning at me and giving me the thumbs up. For a split second I didn't get what they were doing, then the girl pointed at my hat. Felt really good. Also, not quite the same thing, but I was standing with a couple of mates outside the Watford supporters pub just off High Street after the match on Saturday (again wearing the blue hat), and a Watford fan came up, threw his arm round me and said "Come inside mate, I'll buy you a pint. Best fackin' team we've had here all season!" That felt good as well.
loAf Posted 10 March 2016 Posted 10 March 2016 I watched the Man City game in a sports bar in Coogee, Sydney. I was wearing my Leicester top and at one point had a queue (albeit only 3 people) wanting to talk to me. Aussie and English. Another group of lads - Man U supporters - were insistent that me and my fiance come and sit with them (they cleared us a space). When we scored the third half the bar started singing 'you're gonna win the league' and pointing at me - they were on their feet chanting. It was all rather surreal. I got bought a few pints that night. I was in Bali a couple of weeks later and the guy who was driving us who had never left the island was obsessed with talking to me about Leicester when he found out where I came from and who I supported. It is quite weird as I usually have to explain who we are to people from outside the UK. haha the bit about them singing at you gave me goosebumps. must have been amazing!! I Live in Bahrain, and the bar I was in watching that game errupted every time we scored, apart from the 3 Man City fans obv. Not a week goes by that i dont have at least half a douzen people come up to me in the bar shake my hand and tell me that we can do it, and should do it for every team outside of the 'big four'. Even one Forest fan keeps telling me he wants us to do it. Still a few Arsenal fans who try to give me shit, but I just cup my ear and tell them they need to speak up as its hard to hear them from this far above them. Think we must be everyones second team out here.
EdinburghFox Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 About 3 months ago in Cape Town when some random guy saw me playing rugby on my leicester shirt and came over and was all over me about this new team nobody had heard of and how he wants us to win the league. This kind of thing has been happening ever since
nlukka Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 Just been out for a run in South London in an old Leicester shirt and had 3 different people stop and shout 'Come on Leicester' (although one of them seemed to think we're in Lancashire!) - felt like a mini-celebrity!

Rob1742 Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 On the way back from Watford last week, got a text from an ex player of ours, who everybody liked. Just a random text saying he was so pleased for the players. Must have been watching our game. Nice random text to get.
