MattCan Posted 7 April 2016 Posted 7 April 2016 What a bad turd. I bet You get wound up at FIFA. What a stinky post .. Gosh
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 7 April 2016 Posted 7 April 2016 I find this post rather condescending. Do you feel a sense of superiority toward the Algerian fans who (I find) are very knowledgeable and passionate about football. If you are a private owner of this forum, then lock it. Otherwise, you got no business telling a group of fans to go away. They got as much rights as you got. Amicably. I feel no sense of superiority over any living being and I appreciate that Algerians love their football and have something of a hero in Mahrez. Leicester City fans the world over love Mahrez and rightly so, but it is a TEAM sport. If a member of the TEAM performs badly in a game, fans of the TEAM will generally pick up on it. Fans of the player (and not particularly the team) pick up on the fact that their preferred player has been criticised and don't like it You have to remember that Leicester City fans (before this season) are almost entirely born here or have connections to the area, physically or emotionally, and most will have supported this great club through a lot of highs and lows. We have had some outstanding players over the years (we have also had some comically bad ones) and Mahrez is one of the greats, but he is just one part of a big engine and isn't free from criticism I didn't tell anyone to go away, I suggested that if you take offence to fair criticism of a particular player and don't consider yourself a Leicester City supporter then this isn't the forum for you. I don't see how that is unreasonable.
Fox92 Posted 7 April 2016 Posted 7 April 2016 All am saying, he doesn't deserve that bad rating. The thing about Mahrez is he sets the standards too high so when he does'nt score or have an assist you consider his game was bad. His game was farrrrr from bad, he did play average no more no less. And plz leave Algerians and Facebook out of it don't take it too personal. Argue the point. I don't understand why you're trying to argue though when you like the one player. We support the team, always have done and always will do. It's not all about assisting or scoring. An attacking player can have a good game without directly influencing the game. The thing that annoyed me with Mahrez on Sunday was his lack of defending at times. There were partts of the game where Simpson had two players on him. Simpson was my MOTM - he was superb - playing with hardly any cover. Mahrez was dropped earlier in the season for the same reason and he has spoken before about needing to work hard to stay in the team.

I don't see how that is unreasonable. I appreciate your statement. You have to look at the situation from perspective. Leicester City Football Club hires international players. It plays in one of the most publicized football leagues in the world. It is expected that it would have followers everywhere. The international players also have followers in their countries of origin and their countries of birth. On top of that, some of these players are players of the respective national teams. So, it is expected that huge numbers of fans would be following these players. It is just normal. A kid in Afghanistan can follow a Messi in Spain. It is just normal. So, what if a bunch of ados get excited on Facebook and post incessantly. Try to see it as a diverse and colorful setting (a party) rather than an invasion on your space. It is in fact a blessing for the club and its players that the club's image is expanding beyond the Leicestershire district borders.

Their interest in our club is purely due to one player. They'll all be gone when he leaves, the rest of us will still be here. I don't mind them taking an interest in how he's doing but it's silly to suggest that they're a part of this club in a way that other posters are.

But first, who told you they want to be part of the team? They are just cheering for the boy and for the team along side. They do genuinely support the club tho even if it's temporary.. They rejoice when you win and they sadden when you lose .... They know every player in the squad and they follow your news and watch all your videos. They even wear your shirt.. Now, if they are not welcome and you are too good for them Fiiiiine! You can think that way but you cannot deny them it's a public forum! If you want to be selective then create a group or a forum and close it or simply make restrictions upon location like Algeria for example. The point is being arrogant is not good, we have a seeing that goes : "becareful with life, because life sometimes all of the sudden can turn behind and hit you in the behind" And here Is my little story for you. See, For me it's a déja-vu.... Few years back I was following a team in the premiere league just like yourself, and just like today... They had an Algerian gem like today ... They were wearing blue and white like you today.... And they had an awesome season like you today, they even played in Europe..... They had an amazing fan base atmosphere like you today and they were even pushing for a new stadium I remember like today... They even had a player you know very well called David Nugent (which by the way I never liked as a player) So just like today along side Nugent there was our Algerian boy named Nadir Belhadj.... They had also, as you probably know, some familiar names, like the one you'll see next week, Jermaine Defo, They had Crouch, dastin, Campbell, Glen Johnson and David James as a keeper , and of course Harry Redknapp.... Remember Portsmouth??!! Exactly like you today! they reached seven heaven but look now where they are, Administration, relegation and the story you know.... So don't go too fast, take it easy and go easy Be humble don't be arrogant . It's simply the best way to go.

In fact I've enjoyed hearing outsiders make positive comments about my club this season. The point I wanted to make to MattCan was that it isn't wrong of me to think of myself as more a part of Leicester City than others. I myself have wanted other clubs to do well before - Bradford and Burnley are two examples - but I would never claim to be part of those clubs because I know I don't have any real connections to either of them.

Harry, We all agree with what you are saying. It is indeed very explicit in Fennec-Fox post: "But first, who told you they want to be part of the team? They are just cheering for the boy and for the team along side." This discussion originated from the low ratings that Mahrez is getting. I and other Mahrez followers feel that he is not being strongly supported by the Leicester Fans to win the Player of the Year award while pundits around the world are nominating him. This is weird as he is an LCFC player and should find support firstly among LCFC fans, at the same level as Vardy or Drinkwater. Just two days ago, a poster here (a self-proclaimed LCFC fan) was questioning why Mahrez is being considered for PFA player of the year ???!!!! and no one (besides me) disputed that ???!!!

If you think that you are more of a part of Leicester.... then I totally agree with you.... There is noway I can take that away from you... You certainly love, give to, mean to Leicester and Leicester means to you more than I do. You are the real deal, in that regard... But if you allow me to kindly ask a question... Will that give you the right to be arrogant and abusive toward others? (Excuse me, for the words and I don't mean you personally, I don't even know you to say so, you even seem a gentleman in your last reaction, but talking about the general attitude) Or the right to ask people to go away? Or the right to generalize because of the 'few' the 'everybody'? that's what I don't agree with. I

Even that Matt (rating Mahrez low) I don't really have problem with... People and everyone are entitled to their opinions I accept and respect that... but in the other hand, I would expect people to accept and respect my opinion as well. Simple as that.
TheMightySystem Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Can we get back to bashing that one poster who gave Simpson a 5.5?
