stevelcfc Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 They know where the STs are and what spaces are available. They should let people being moved just pick now. I doubt many people are giving up STs this year, so it isn't like they have to wait for that. This, you must be very close to where I am as I'm just to the right of the half way line by about 3/4 seats. The only spaces I know around me with no STH taking them up re on the same row and behind which are the ones disappearing to hold some poorly educated, uninterested commentators and camera men which will only turn up for 3 games. And with everyone fighting over the same few seats that are available the chances of being in a similar place with the rest of my family and the mates we've made is slim.

The best seats. Anything to the side is just not equivalent. And just for three CL home games? Make it a temp structure that can be thrown up for those games. Must be possible.
Lukey Boi Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Same thing happened to us when we got promoted to the prem too
nlukka Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 So it seems I am also affected by this. Obvious choice would be to move to L/K as it's only a few metres away, but wondering if there are many available near the back? Main priority for me is to be able to stand and be part of a 'singing section'. Also tempted by SK1 as used to have my season ticket in the kop years ago - again, what are the chances of getting a season ticket near the back?
Blackpool Fox 69 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Just received 2 letters from the club (1 for me and 1 for my son) telling me that we have to move seats next season because the TV gantry in the East Stand is being extended to comply with UEFA regulations for European fixtures. This affects anyone who sits in the last three rows of Blocks H, J1, J2 and J3 (anyone know how many this is?). I am gutted. I love these seats and can't think that we will get comparable ones where we can sit together with our friends. Does anyone have an idea where our relocations options might be? When I renewed my season ticket last season, I had the choice of anywhere in the ground (that wasn't taken) moved from B2 to J2 and that was before the stated relocation period, I did it at the renewal stage online.
nlukka Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Just to make people aware that you don't need to move seats any more. I rang up the TO today to relocate and was told I can keep my seat for league games but will have to move for the Champions League games, which is fair enough. They also said that for people who have already moved they should be able to get their old seat back if they contact ticket office.

Just found this out too, with no communication from the club, despite complaining formally a few weeks back. Let's just say, whilst the team on the pitch have been fantastic, the back office staff have a lot of catching up to do. I was affected by this and am on the direct debit scheme, but I only found out by chance that they had cancelled my DD and therefore would have had no automatic renewal for 2016/17 unless I did this manually. Have already moved seats once because of the gantry and now have moved back to my original seats today. It's been dealt with really poorly in my opinion.

I think the club deserve a bit of slack, its all new to them to I'm sure they didn't even consider these things until we were definitely in the champs league. Its a standard thing the people have to be relocated due to different regulations in Europe just look at Stamford bridge on a champs league night the first 3 rows have to be relocated.

A bit of slack maybe, but there are basic things that they should have foreseen. For example: 1) if they knew they were cancelling my DD then that meant I wasn't auto-renewing, which meant that I'd missed the renewal deadline without me even knowing about it. 2) Once they knew that they weren't going to have the extended gantry for all league games why couldn't they let those affected know so they could move back?
Merging Cultures Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 And just for three CL home games? Make it a temp structure that can be thrown up for those games. Must be possible. Seemed pretty logical to me!! I hope everyone who has relocated is told about this, otherwise imagine turning up at the ground and seeing your seats are not taken over by the gantry. You'd be pretty annoyed I'd imagine.

Agree with all of this. The poor communication initially and then the lack of communication afterwards is not acceptable for a professional organisation. Firstly, I didn't know and wasn't told that my DD had been cancelled. Secondly, if I didn't arrange alternative seats before the 14th, I wouldn't have had new season tickets for next season.Thirdly, I've had no communication from the club to say I can revert back to my original seats. It's poor all round. I would have been well pissed off if I turned up to the first game of the season and found my "old" seats (which were pretty good) occupied by others and I was sitting in my "new" seats which are not as good. All I saw at the club was a note to the cashiers to remind them that anyone who had moved/been moved because of the gantry, could be invited to take up their old seats - I'm not convinced I would have been told about this if I hadn't mentioned I had originally moved because of the gantry and was looking for better alternatives. We can only hope that the club take notice, identify the shortcomings and take steps to improve the service in the future.
