PRIOR09 Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Adam Proudlock has today been released by Sheff Wed due to disciplinary reasons. We need a striker and we could sign him on a free transfer outside the window. CL go for him.
Jimmy Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 depending on the reason for being released and his wages i'd go for it
Mark Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Let's play two overweight strikers up front, good idea.
Jimmy Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 what does his weight matter as long as he scores
PRIOR09 Posted 19 September 2005 Author Posted 19 September 2005 He can lose weight. Hes a decent enough striker for this division.
Babylon Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 released by Sheff Wed due to disciplinary reasons
davieG Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Next you'll be suggesting we should have John Gregory as manager, oops sorry you did, I beginning to think you're a bit of a agent provocateur sent by Derby, Forest or Cov
Bert Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Good idea, sign someone with disciplinary problems! as if leicester haven't had enough!!
PRIOR09 Posted 19 September 2005 Author Posted 19 September 2005 Sturrock isnt exactly the hardest of characters. Maybe CL could keep him under control.

Out of the list given he was the only one i wouldnt mind being manager. I didnt say i wanted him to replace CL.
PRIOR09 Posted 19 September 2005 Author Posted 19 September 2005 Whatever. And talk of being a covscum fan? I am more of a LCFC fan than most of you on this forum. Missed 7 games in the last 6 seasons.
davieG Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Sturrock isnt exactly the hardest of characters. Maybe CL could keep him under control. How do you know how hardSturrock is? How contrary you are, not hard he's just sacked someone how much harder can he be
PRIOR09 Posted 19 September 2005 Author Posted 19 September 2005 I take it people wouldnt want to give him a fresh start then. Dont see why not because he has got the ability.
Babylon Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Rrrr don't abuse him guys. Keep the opinions coming Prior

Thracian Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Adam Proudlock has today been released by Sheff Wed due to disciplinary reasons. We need a striker and we could sign him on a free transfer outside the window. CL go for him. What have you got against him? Okay, sounds like he's been a bit of a bad lad but surely he can't have been so bad as to be condemned to a striker's life at Leicester. "There you go then Adam," sign here. You'll get 10 minutes now and again until Christmas if there's an injury or two or if we're actually going for a win (which won't be too often so you'll have plenty of time to go shopping on Saturday's if needs be). Naturally you'll be involved in training sessions. Not as a centre-forward but as a defender cos first thing we do here is teach everyone how to defend. In fact the second thing and the third thing we do here is teach everyone how to defend cos, well, truth to tell, no-one really knows to attack so we just avoid it if we can, especially on our travels. Another thing you'll have to get used to is our playing policy. The fans are used to draws and we don't want to upset em. So if we go 1-0 down then we try to attack a bit until we equalise ... not too soon in case we score again and win by accident. But if we go 1-0 up, or God forbid 2-0 up then it's foot off the pedal until the opposition catch up again. There really is no point in thinking about scoring more goals than you need...okay.. because some team's have trouble catching up like Wednesday and Stoke even though we did stop going forward for periods? Free-kicks and corners you don't need to worry about cos no-one knows how to take em so if you are out there for a minute or two and we get one of those, just come over grab a water bottle or something. You'll have to wait in the queue or course cos we've only got so many...
davieG Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 I take it people wouldnt want to give him a fresh start then. Dont see why not because he has got the ability. But don't you think we have enough strikers already with too much baggage without the addition of someone who was struggling for a starting place in a team that's scored 4 goals in six games and also has the dubious distinction of being sacked from that team, which is not an action taken lightly as we found out when we sacked W**e.

He has been injured. But is back now, and has scored this season. Which is 1 more than Hammond, in less games.

Perhaps if we had a committed attacking strategy (and some proper corners and free kicks) the strikers would find it a bit easier to score.
Katy Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Hmm you may want to read what the Wednesday fans think of him and the alledged reasons why he was kicked out.
Thracian Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Cracking recommendation on the Sheffield forum . The lunatics are taking over the asylum...
Scow Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 First we have a suggestion to take on a Derby reject, and now a Wednesday reject.
