Haydos Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Any pubs/bars throwing it on a bigger screen outside? Just weighing up where to watch it. Counting house and Local hero are the closest to the ground but i'd rather not..I'm in the old Polar Bear (bowling green) now watching boro, plenty of City fans and lots of screens.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I think it may well depend on what is being laid on and where you can get in. Will be headed down just for the atmosphere. A bit miffed that as someone who was at the last game at Filbert St, was there when we lifted the League one trophy and when we lifted the championship trophy, that I can't get a ticket because of all the glory boy supporters. Tell me about it. First home game ever I've not been able to get a ticket. I rationalise it as my sacrifice for the greater good, though ultimately I'm just kidding myself! Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Exactly the system is set up so those who deserve a ticket get a ticket, its fair. The issue for me (I'm a silver fox), and many others I guess, is that memberships were sold on the basis that they would guarantee a ticket to home games. Now this hasn't happened... Memberships have only just stopped being sold, but it makes me wonder about the ticketing arrangements to this one. Have they sold too many memberships? How many tickets have been kept aside for people for corporates or whoever?
promised land Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Don't need pubs just follow the Italians town hall square now
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Any pubs/bars throwing it on a bigger screen outside? Just weighing up where to watch it. Counting house and Local hero are the closest to the ground but i'd rather not.. Problem for me is, I've only just finished work and I want to go down just to sample the atmosphere, but if I head to the ground I might not be able to find anywhere that I can actually see a screen.
psychonaut Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I thought the same thing mate.. Better to find a decent boozer i think and then we can always sample the atmosphere after the game near the ground. Just heading in now - getting dropped off near to the ground as possible knockin about for a bit then heading to either the polar bear or bricklayers or wherever we can get in!
Great Boos Up Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 If you haven't got a pub spot now you may struggle to watch the game, the city is heaving
