Spence Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Like thousands of others myself and my old man will be travelling from London to Leicester for the match on saturday without a ticket! Just wondering which pubs are likely to be best for atmosphere and which ones possibly to stay away from! Or is it just going to be one big party out side the King Power?
Haydos Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I may well be there, need to know where a few of the boys off here will be.
Voll Blau Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 If anyone says 'Counting House' or 'Local Hero' they've clearly never visited either establishment.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I think it may well depend on what is being laid on and where you can get in. Will be headed down just for the atmosphere. A bit miffed that as someone who was at the last game at Filbert St, was there when we lifted the League one trophy and when we lifted the championship trophy, that I can't get a ticket because of all the glory boy supporters.

What's the atmosphere like on the whole? Worth bagging a few beers and just hanging around town taking it all in until the match?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 How many of these threads do we need? Just go anywhere with a TV screen they'll all be packed and buzzing.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 How many of these threads do we need? Just go anywhere with a TV screen they'll all be packed and buzzing. not as buzzing as inside the stadium fcukos!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Blue Oyster Bar!!You keep "plugging" this bar buddyIs it really that good in there?
AjcW Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Surely some landlord in leicester has the business sense to follow european bars and a few i've seen in London/Leeds and get a TV outside!!! It's 25 degrees tomorrow... I thought I was going to die when I was in O'neills last week and it was cold outside!!

I'd like ton know how people think these tourists glory supporters managed to get tickets but "hardcore" fans didn't?
peach0000 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I'd like ton know how people think these tourists glory supporters managed to get tickets but "hardcore" fans didn't? Exactly the system is set up so those who deserve a ticket get a ticket, its fair.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I'd like ton know how people think these tourists glory supporters managed to get tickets but "hardcore" fans didn't? Didn't say I was hardcore, but I know plenty of people who have followed City for years who can't get a ticket for tomorrow. We're we getting 32000 every game even two seasons ago? No, no we weren't. Will we get 32000 regularly if we get relegated, probably not.

whetstonefox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Avoid the Dry Dock if you want serving quickly, some match days they have only 3 people serving

I really don't know how else the club could manage it? Seems like most people moaning about not getting tickets haven't got an ST or a membership but they 'love' the club so think they should be entitled to a ticket?
AjcW Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 The old Polar Bear has a telly outside. Cheers mate! Another stone gate one so the same as Soar Point etc. Cheers!
Langston Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Cheers mate! Another stone gate one so the same as Soar Point etc. Cheers! Only a smallish one though pal!

Seems like most people moaning about not getting tickets haven't got an ST or a membership but they 'love' the club so think they should be entitled to a ticket? 2 seasons ago we were true, but it was a) a successful season and b) you could still get tickets for pretty much all matches without a membership or ST. If you haven't recently sat near a group of people who don't even know the players names, I suggest you're very lucky.
Ric Flair Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Parcel Yard to wet the whistle, then Polar Bear or whatever it's now called and then Bricklayers for me. Usually go the western when my old boy drives but fcuk that.
dylanlegend Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 City centre of near to ground? I reckon Outside KP will be pretty special post match
psychonaut Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Any pubs/bars throwing it on a bigger screen outside? Just weighing up where to watch it. Counting house and Local hero are the closest to the ground but i'd rather not..
