Sionnach gorm Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I don't believe anyone should confuse Leicester City with one or two players. It is the team we need to support. Let's move on as those who chose to move on. I am confident that our staff will find the players necessary to continue our progress.
GloverFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The only thing it is ruining is my enjoyment of foxestalk. Might take the summer off, I thought that being champions would make this a pleasant place to visit, alas no. Captain .. take the summer off ... We are Champions of England and nothing changes that ... enjoy it my friend and return when you've sucked the last drops of 'thrill' from the experience ... next season is just another fight, but we have WON it remember that and be happy mate !!!!!
sylofox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We lose a hero Vardy will now never have legendry stats now as far as I am concerned. He said he was staying and wanted all the others to stay. Vardy in your own words "Chat shite get banged" Your going to get banged. Fvck off and pick up your red dollars.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We will all be extremely disappointed, and even upset if we lose our top players, but then that is life. We have experienced a true fairy, and have all wallowed in it, but sooner or later, it has to end. I will not be angry with anyone for leaving, in order to improve their careers, but yes, very sad. Let us all be thankful that we were lucky to experience something that will probably never happen again. For those who are young, the memories will live on, and I am sure, that when you have grandchildren, in the years to come, you will be able to say "I was there"
Blue ROI Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 It’s disappointing that Vardy looks to be leaving but we’ve experienced the best of times with him. I’m less than pleased he’s going but we’ll always have the title winning season to remember him by. If he goes, thanks for everything and Leicester City move on. Get a grip lads. I have experienced worse than this. Having attended the heavy defeats to Forest and Bristol City in late 2009 I could never in my wildest dreams have imagined Leicester to win the Premiership over half a decade later. Magnificent owners, a top drawer backroom team, and a great fanbase. Not to mention a group of players that remain who have given us the time of our lives ad led us to 2 championships and a champions league group stage place. I will gladly take the position we find ourselves in right now. Some of us (Myself!) wrote this club off when Ranieri was appointed last year.Look how that went. We’re still in a great place.
Great Boos Up Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 We've always lost our best players and probably always will, they stayed in January because they believed something great was happening and because the bigger teams believed it was a temporary fluke. We are not big dogs! Players will move on to the big boys which we are not, and many on here have delusions of grandeur rather than appreciate our accomplishment of the impossible. It's actually that scenario which made us champions. This unprecedented and miraculous achievement that has happened can never be taken away from us.
Twitcher Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 The disappointment for me is I really wanted to see how the team that won the league would fair in the CL. Too many changes and it won't be the same team and we'll never know. I think the Premier Leagle might be secretly worried about their product. If the team isn't as good and we end up getting battered in all six games it won't do much for selling it. As for Arsenal, panic buying. Wenger watches how poorly the passing game dovetailed with Vardy against Portugal but still goes ahead. Just as players don't have to have loyalty, we don't have to have loyalty to them once they've gone. Thank them for last season but genuinely hope it goes tits up, (on a team level) for them at a rival team. Arsenal deserve no credit for disrupting England's preparation. NB/ Fleetwood get £6.8 of the £20! Wow.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 It's all about who we get in. Southampton had a similar summer where they ended up losing 5 first team regulars - Shaw Chambers Lallana Lambert and Lovren. They managed to get in Mané Pelle Long Bertrand Tadić Forster and finally Alderwierald on loan - with hindsight how much stronger the squad became as a result and £30m in the bank. Also worth noting Saints didn't start getting in these players until well into July - and mostly after the start of the season. So crappy as the next few weeks might feel for us Foxes there's plenty of scope for Walsh to turn up a number of these type of players. Don't start bringing logic into the debate !
