I must admit, I did warm to him slightly after this...

But then you remember this...

I will always remember him at Derby saying that their fans had more class, kissing the Birmingham badge after they beat us, bowing in front if Derby fans when they played here and saying he was one of the best players to have ever played for Leicester.

...Oh and he's got a tattoo of the Armani logo...

Need I go on?

The abuse he gets now though is embarrassing. His career is over. He was always a wind up merchant, in fact he still is (which actually makes 606 superb), but he always gave 100% for us and played in such a successful period for the club and for that, above anything else, I'll always like him.

So what... Literally 99% of this forum laughed at our chances of winning a top flight title....

I'm in Gatwick too... P@ss bored and waiting for a 5 hour delayed flight...

might try and find Savage...  Or maybe I'll just sit here?

... Yep...   I'll just sit here

He ran around like a headless chicken, doing a job for us, winding people up!

He's done the same since and in truth is a classless co ck .

He may well be but he gets paid to be really doesn't he?

Nodding dogs don't really get on well in the media circles he runs in. Boring news doesnt work, unfortunately.

Maybe so, compare Lenny with him in  media and personality and I stand by my personal opinion :)

Oh i wasnt trying to say that you should change your opinion of him, but that we shouldn't be surprised by it...

How much is it costing you to watch this friendly?

The air fare on Norwegian Airways was £1050 and match tickets are about £35 each

Robbie savage was a very good player for us and now baby fans are annoyed that he did the same for other clubs he played for as he did for us.He wasn't born in Leicester, he just played his heart out for us while he wore our shirt.

The trick here is not to get mixed up between the footballer, the TV pundit and persona and the real man. When playing for Leicester and Birmingham he lived in our village and in his private life bore no resemblence to what you see on television. He and his family were really nice people. He was not opinionated and on occasions,  believe it or not seemed quite reserved. A nice guy who loved his days at Leicester and remembers them fondly.
