The stats were good and the end of season analysis, I agree, but after discussion with the moderating team the main point of the forum is to generate discussion and posts. With the surveys people just voted and clicked off the thread - as the season went on I even had to pin the threads to the top to make people vote because otherwise they went straight off to page two quickly because people just didn't post in them

I don't think we are lacking for discussion post match, I normally ignore the post match thread and go to the ratings thread because it gives a better idea of how people played, and look forward to the results thread because by that point the emotion of the game is gone and you get to think about it objectively.

I thought the analysis of the ratings was great after the match and at the end of the season it is brilliant seeing the ratings over a full season. I also prefer the format, posters who just vote and run are better than people just posting names and numbers, it kept the thread clean and not filled with ratings without comments which I just gloss over. Whereas I will normally read everyone's reasoning for the ratings if they give them.

If you said you weren't doing it because it was too much work and effort, then fair enough, but if you are doing because you think we didn't like it, then you are wrong. I also think that this season will be different as we won't win the league and witness such consistently brilliant performances from 1-11 making the ratings and debate more interesting.

lol Vardy is gifted a goal and so deserves MOTM?

Part gift part anticipation. Plus he was a menace throughout the game, especially in the first half. Looked the most likely to score throughout.

Close between him, Drinky and Fuchs.

Drinky and Fuchs were miles ahead imo. Sure, Vardy seemed like a menace, but what did he actually create? Maybe I'm misremembering, but he seemed quite wasteful to me. (Not that he was the only one.)

Last year was fantastic. I think dropping it is a mistake.

Would you consider putting up a vote for renewal. I found them so interesting.

It was because it came across as people did not like it so did not bother using the feature.

We have discussed it and we will run it like last season for Hull on Saturday but it will deliberately not be 'pinned' so if people don't post in it (like this thread) then it will move to page 2 and be forgotten about it.

If there are not a good number of votes (this for example has 146 votes) it will be interpreted as people don't want to use that feature then it will revert to this method - there's no point doing stats for like 40 odd votes

The posts/discussion generated will also include the results thread as they go hand in hand (this method will not have a results thread the poll will just be closed so people can see who got the most votes)

He had one good run and laid it off to Okazaki whose shot was deflected and won a couple of corners through running hard at their defence. He wasn't a constant threat but always looked capable of something.
