frany104 Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 If Martinez comes with an attitude to rediscover the form he showed at Porto he is a hell of a player. I worry he is now too focused on money and it would cost a lot in transfer fees and wages for this happen.

Didn't someone on here say he's only had 8 shots on target this whole year? Think that speaks volumes It was 9 shots on target prior to our last match (so probably still 9). I absolutely agree. Getting no chances at all. The one game he did he scored a hat trick. I don't even believe the guff about its because defences have worked him out by dropping deep as he scores practically every time he's on the pitch for England with deep lying defences against him.

There were a few times he made good runs and no one passed to him yesterday. At least he was putting in some effort too. He looked so mad when Shinji made that run and then fell over.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 I'm already tired of big time / big price so called football A leaguers. Can't we just go back to finding rough diamonds rather than have our pants pulled down on exorbitant prices. Just my feelings.

Yeah why hasn't Rudkin signed the next Mahrez and Kante for 5.4m combined yet? Joke. Rudkin out.

Just saying that us signing such gems for such low prices is once in a blue moon, and it was a coincidence we had a few in the same team. Even Walsh would struggle to repeat signings of that magnitude. We have to spend money too, were PL champions and in Europe, everyone's added 25% to their prices
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 This would such against the culture we built up over the last few years. Was great at Porto but has been cack since then. Surely, we can find someone with a bit of something to prove instead of this.
Tuna Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 I doubt very much we have any serious interest in this guy.
