AjcW Posted 31 March 2017 Author Posted 31 March 2017 Manager of the Month apparently....... A good recovery month I'll give him that, after three hammerings on the bounce. Theyll be safe now, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Eddie... if Barcelona take Koeman he needs to do everything in his power to take the Everton job, instead of jumping another rung into a top four job as predicted. And if if he stays it'll be another testing window, another failure and high spending on flops won't help his stock... strikes me as a club that could really utilise a good DOF

I'm always surprised Pulis gets the stick he gets. Pulis is a very good manager.

AjcW Posted 20 August 2017 Author Posted 20 August 2017 Well well well...... ? Felt the need to reopen this conversation after he spent another **** tonne this summer and they’re still a bit shit
Jimothy Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 No goals, two defeats. Finished 9th last year and spent money this summer so should be getting at least something from West Brom and Watford. Granted two games isn't much to go on but on the evidence of a favourable couple of fixtures to start with they're going to struggle.
Fox92 Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 Fvck me is this thread still a thing. The guy led Bournemouth - yes Bournemouth - to the Premier League, kept them up and then finished 9th last season. Two defeats already, 0 goals, big wow. There's 36 games left.

All it takes is losing a couple of winnable games and then following it up with a run of really tough fixtures and your cut adrift down there before you know it. Losing your first two games isn't the end of the world, but losing the first two they did could come back to bite them on the arse.

There's BFC fans showing disgruntlement already...questioning the recruitment ... As you say TWO GAMES IN ! Not surprised. They spend a lot on 'average' players. (They could have Musa ) But I don't know what players he could potentially attract to 'little' Bournemouth. Who knows.

I know, I get your point, but football is unpredictable and they could easily win those tough games too. He's beaten the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea since they've been in the PL. The bottom half of the division is so bad though in terms of quality. There's so many poor sides in the division. You'd think there'd be three worse sides than Bournemouth but it doesn't work like that.

Oh yeah I know there could be surprises, I just think Bournemouth fans have got to look at this start and feel a very disappointed, especially after the money invested in the summer. You can't rely on the shocks either, they're a bonus to add to beating some of the teams who'll be in around where you finish. It's happened enough times, a teams has a bad start against teams they expect to get something from, have a run of games against top teams and don't pick up many points and by the time they play a Huddersfield or Brighton they find those teams have found some form and they lose again.
Dan Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 Marco Silva at it again. 4 points from Liverpool at home and Bournemouth away. Good stuff.
