Very odd that fans from all over are piping up. It's outright bitterness and I also think that a lot of it is relief that we won't be another team to go on and win something that their club haven't.

 

I can't be arsed with "EPL" fans from Nairobi saying that Leicester can go back in to the abyss. Social media has become a mountain of stale shit since we sacked Ranieri.

Think back to Watford, where it genuinely felt like we'd missed our last chance for some time of simply reaching the Premier League because of FFP and having to strip back the wage bill. That's even before the manner of defeat is taken into account.

 

Think back to our relegation to League 1, and the level of uncertainty surrounding the club as we began to sail uncharted waters.

 

Think back to administration, where we didn't even know we would have a club to support the following year.

 

This is the context that fans of other clubs just don't understand. They all tuned in when we were top of the PL- they don't know us, and they don't know what we've been through.

 

F**k 'em all. The last few years have been glorious, and I'm not so sure we're finished yet.

It's a genuine shame we don't have a sensible sports show with good conversation & people who want to genuinely have a sensible debate about things. 

5 Live are so much better than TalkSport at phone-ins. Yes the presenters can still be opinionated but they're way less twattish about it.

It's probably been alluded to already, but listening to Jason Cundy on Talkshite on the drive home last night, it's clear as day he'd been briefed to be controversial and negative to wards Leicester as this get's people to call in and money in the coffers.

 

For what it's worth though, I never support any other English teams in Europe, ever. In fact I love seeing them embarrassed, particularly Arsenal. Therefore I'm not going to hammer any other fan who doesn't want us to win.

 

As far as I'm concerned, this has been a great ride, I remember being at Southend 8 years previous to the day, having massively underestimated the seaside breeze and celebrating a 2-0 win with a Fryatt brace. That was my best moment as a Leicester fan for 6 years since the 2003 promotion, and as has been mentioned, a United or Liverpool fan just can't comprehend this. I find it annoying some of them try and taunt us by saying we're unlikely to ever get there again without them realising that we don't support Leicester based on their Champions League participation.

I must admit that the coverage was 100% positive in today's Times.  We had a full four pages of reporting too.  I must say that I've not come across much hate in the last day or so, but I never listen to Talk Sport.
