Gené and Tonic Posted 9 October 2005 Posted 9 October 2005 Not who you want to be the next manager, but who you think will be. Personally, after we fail to win the worldcup, and providing Pearce is still doing a good job, I think he will be the favourite. Although of course, Martin O'Neill would be the one I would want to be appointed.
Durnerz Posted 9 October 2005 Posted 9 October 2005 McClaren Middlesbrough fans are turning against him, apparently his tactics are sheeeeeite. O'Neil for me, 3-5-2 might suit England with Lampard and Gerrard given licence to go forward with a Holding player in the middle like King or Carrick. Plus the players would be motivated to work hard.
Gené and Tonic Posted 9 October 2005 Author Posted 9 October 2005 remember this is who you think will be appointed, not who you want to be
Hitesh Posted 9 October 2005 Posted 9 October 2005 I want O'Neil to be the next manager but Steve McLaren will get it just because he as been assistant!
Samu Posted 9 October 2005 Posted 9 October 2005 A name which I saw mentioned in the Guardian was Gus Hiddink (spelling?) He managed Korea in the last world cup and also worked wonders at PSV I believe. If we were looking for another foreign manager he would certainly be up there.

He's JUST been appointed as manager of Australia. Although he could arguably be tempted to go to England. Deffo a world class manager.
surrifox Posted 10 October 2005 Posted 10 October 2005 Incredibly , Peter Taylor is occasionally mentioned as a possible.
BenFilbert Posted 10 October 2005 Posted 10 October 2005 I want O'Neil to be the next manager but Steve McLaren will get it just because he as been assistant! Exactly
NFFC Chris Posted 10 October 2005 Posted 10 October 2005 O'Neil or Psycho for me,O'Neil his track record speaks for itself and Psycho is really passionate,he would give the ultr-egos a kick up the backside and making us proud to support England again!
Gené and Tonic Posted 10 October 2005 Author Posted 10 October 2005 agree with that, i don't think there is a fan in the counrty who doesn't want Pearce to succeed as a manger. Wish he'd have come to Leicester

Nationwider Posted 10 October 2005 Posted 10 October 2005 It'll probably be that Ferguson-clone Dullmeister McClaren
