Possible terror attack in Canada

Recommended Posts

So is everything classified as a terror attack now? Oh nevermind, when a mosque gets shot up in Canada it's not a "terror attack" it's a "shooting" (according to the mainstream media, at least)

Still, I wish the victims a prompt recovery.

They found an Islamic State flag in the car.

Seems like that might be a clue...

Well if you read the article it appears to be exactly that.

Looks targetted terror to me from what i can see.

If anyone attacks a place of worship intending to incite hate and inflict injury/death then its terrorism mate.  Use some common sense.

The article was posted to relay news about an event that happened.

Dont be silly Bucey ...    Man repeatedly stabbing a Policeman and trying to run down innocent pedestrians  ...    AND has an IS flag in his car ...    How could you possibly suggest terrorism.

Yeah, I take it back.

I'm sure we've all done it at one time or another - it's just part of growing up.

Obviously this is just retaliation for all of Canada's meddling in the Middle East and therefore their own fault. After all, terrorism is part and pacel of living in a big city.

Another scallywag displaying youthful high-spirits in Marseille:

He even shouted, "Allahu Akbar" just to fool everybody into thinking he was a terrorist. Bantz.

Actually he shouted "Admiral Ackbar" and he's a massive Star Wars fan committing these atrocities in the name of his Prophet Obi Wan Kenobi.

I mean it's just an amateur wannabe ISIS member, they are not really linked cells, just ISIS sympathizers.

And yes we can classify this as a terror attack but why don't we classify mosque shootings as terror attacks rather than shootings?

Its not like you have to go through some obstacle course in ISIS to get a badge stating you are a full fledged card carrying member. You believe in the cause and you "fight and die" for it as this chap apparently did.

I already commented on attacks on any religious building as being an act of terror.

Pretty much. Either all of them are, or none of them are. No such thing as a "lone wolf" when someone out there shares the same ideology.

I'm not attacking you mate, I appreciate that you understand the true meaning of terrorism and that it is not a term only associated with islamist fundamentalism. But various mainstream media covered  it as a "shooting". Same thing with the far right attack on a mainly African American Baptist Church in the US a few years ago.

Two terrorist attacks yesterday and barely a mention on the news.

The new normal now, horrific.
