It's not really on. We have 21 games left and we have given Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal a six point start (we very likely wouldn't beat them on goal difference). We'd probably have to win the next five games on the trot just to be in the pack alongside them.

Saying that you never know but no one will consider us top four contenders outside of Leicester fans.

Yep its hugely unlikely but not quite 5000-1...

I kinda think though that Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs are floundering and really struggling for consistency - a bit like the big teams during our title winning season... The two Manchester Clubs and Chelsea are nailed on for top-three.... everything else is just a mix-up of pressure-bottling big clubs... Beat Palace and Liverpool and it's on. Personally though I think a UEFA place is perhaps a more realistic target but foot on the gas an all that...

It could be the insomnia but we can finish 4th this season, back in the Champions League ;)

We know our boys can keep winning under immense pressure (see title win). Tottenham/Arsenal/Liverpool continue to be inconsistent and falter and they have European football as a distraction.

4th place is on the table for us.

Not a single chance in hell.

We started too badly and both Manchester, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are still a cut above us. It would take a massive fck up from one of them and an incredible winning streak from us to pretend to a place in the big 6.

We started so badly and are still only 5 points away. It is possible. It is going to happen.

I notice that Southampton was Puel's first port-of-call in England after France. Perhaps the Saints are now kicking themselves over their impatience and "unreasonable expectations" of him. It takes time to adapt to a foreign country and league - yet every club appears to expect instant results. Maybe we'll see what he can really achieve given a very talented side.

Puel's Southampton last season were 7th in the most chances created stat and 20th in the chances converted stats.

If the team are creating chances then that can be put down to tactics but if they're the worst in the league at converting them then that's the players fault.
