Agree, in every one of Puels games, we have seen something different, and always a developement and upgrade in our play

and movement.

Maguire has been a revalation, which gives us more a Swift  front fOot potential and perspective.

Every single player, has  upped something in their play.

Some posters lack of recognition, of Vardys extra plays and opening space for others, bewilders me..!!

Hes on his  way, to having , his best effective season ever , even if he does end up  Scoring  less goals.

Puel has us gasping for more...

Some of the football we've been playing has been flabber gaping.

Hopefully this shows to take the media with a pinch of salt. Puel ended up on the scrapheap in the summer when he was sacked for his dull standard of football and we were pretty much promised that we would bore our way to safety when our owners were stupid enough to employ him.

What was to happen in this game would have seemed silly just a couple of months ago. Puel can now produce some amazing quality football and is showing he knows how to get the best out of the players as individuals and as a team. Meanwhile the man who replaced him down on the south coast is getting even less goals out of the team and is getting less results too. It wasn't long ago Southampton could seemingly sell a few of their best players and still not slip down the table. Perhaps, their luck has now run out? Perhaps, it is not the manager to blame in both cases but instead the fault of the board who's running of the club has caused it to go backwards.

Southampton's loss certainly seems our gain at the moment. Puel is clearly a very good manager and can produce not just results but also a standard of football that I never thought I would see from a Leicester City team. Long may the boredom continue...

Loving this manager so far! I was completely underwhelmed by his appointment but just for a change it looks like our owners got a decision right lol!

This is the best we’ve been since peak Ranieri. There are still flaws to our game but several players (Shinji, Albrighton , Gray, Chilwell) have noticeably improved. Our star names are almost back to their best. In Vardy’s case he’s showcasing a new dimension to his game, literally becoming the complete striker as Puel had called him. And on top of this we are playing attractive football with young players coming through!

Buzzing for every game now and I love it!

Buzzing like the rest of you, except had city down to win 5-1 with a mate. Fancied that score as it was 50 years ago we won at their old gaff 5-1 with Shilts scoring. A memorable game. Just thought we had too much for them, particularly with that pensioner Austin up front.

Puel seems to know what he is doing, just need Jamie to get that 50th goal!

Haha, yes, I was at that one. Just chatting to my father about it.

If anyone wants to watch the whole match (again) it is, as always, available with a search for reddit football highlights.

I didn't notice the cheeky back heel from Okazaki before he scored the second and he could easily have poked the third in from Maguire's cross before King did.

I have always thought we could upgrade on Okazaki but this season he really has been outstanding. adding the goal scoring touch to his other incredible work.

I said at the start of the season, we have the makings of a very good team.

As seen at Stoke and West Ham, we have a knack for giving away silly goals through errors. You cut that out and we are a good side.

Puel’s insisted on more dominance with possession and it’s working a treat. The likes of Riyad loving the amount of ball he’s getting. Wilf’s confidence growing too. Vardy as good as he’s ever been all around.

If you went last night, first of all, well done with the chants 'Are you glad you about sacked Puel?' and 'Oh when the Saints go marchng out'.  Second, can I ask a favour?

I know there was a feature on Maya Yoshida in the programme where he speaks about life in Japan and his love of English football when he was younger. I'd love to read it - any chance someone with a bit of time to spare could put a scan of the article up here?

Not proud of that, but I was more of a Mahrez fan than a Leicester fan at first (nationalistic pride and all). But after experiencing so many different emotions, my love for this club formed

No going back now, mate - it's addictive.

We're four points off Arsenal.

Everton won. Along with Burnely. It looks like we'll be in a scrap with Everton and Burnley for sixth.

And if Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal fail to be consistent we could go further.

We're 5 points off of a Champions League spot. Can we get back into it? :pearson::claudio:

Spurs are stuttering, Liverpool inconsistent, and Arsenal are in decline.

I think we have a real shot at top four.

Four consecutive wins. Two wins away from home in five days with seven goals scored. Achieved with different line ups and formations. Kingy ghosting into the box to score like it's 2008-2012 again. Footy that's such porn that the DVD will be on the top shelf in a brown paper bag (apparentley...I wouldn't know about such things). And please let there be a DVD this time. Getting ahead but going for more. And more. And more. Competition for places. A centre half who plays like Gazza on steroids in a five a-side. A keeper who is Shilton, Banks and his dad rolled into one. Everyone confident. Everyone smiling. And our Christmas gift to ourselves still to come, the second coming of Iniesta and Maradona's lovechild in the form of Silva, purposely kept back in a moment of inspired genius by Rudkin and his £29.99 Alpha Discounts Fax Machine.

Underrated post.

We became way too over reliant on Vardys goals and Mahrez as our only real creative outlet. We now look like a team who have goals in them from all over the place and we create team chances, not heavily relying on individual brilliance. This is what progress looks like.

The 3 playing behind him now, I think have chipped in with 10 goals in 8 games. It’s great as whilst defences are being pulled apart by him he is creating space for the likes of Shinji, Gray, Mahrez etc to run riot. Hopefully, once Slim and Kelechi get up to speed this simple tactic can be applied to their strengths.

It’s the biggest difference to how we play and it’s working out wonderfully well.

What makes me excited is that this is just the start. We are playing great but there is clear room for improvement in all areas. The Manchester clubs and Chelsea have too much backing to challenge but I genuinely think we could over time get into the next tier. I don’t think we are that far away from Liverpool, Spuds and Arsenal in terms of being in the higher reaches of the table season after season.

Second-best in-form team over the course of the past five league matches, just behind leaders Manchester City, with Liverpool and Crystal Palace behind us.

What I loved most about last night was the solidity in defense, the creativity and versatility in midfield and the determination and application up front from both Okazaki and Vardy.

We've become more unpredictable due to Mahrez, Gray and Albrighton switching sides very often, making it difficult for opposition defenders to mark them. That rips their midfield apart also and gives players like Ndidi, Iborra and King some freedom to move further up and get a shot on goal, as well.

Playing in a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 works fine for us.

I also noticed that Maguire has somewhat stopped to attack near the opposing box, but that Morgan now doesn't shy away from adding some attacking flair himself as a consequence of dead-ball situations.

Looking really good. Very composed squad, great to see that Chilwell can play in left midfield if need be. And Mahrez somehow thrives on the freedom given by Puel and looks like he's back to the player he was two seasons ago. Gray has also learned to be more efficient up front, letting go of showing off. His shots have also become more precise (he could have two or three more goals this season already).
