I think it's more the timing and the fact that if it weren't for the world cup qualifiers he might have been a candidate to come back here.

After Ranieri and Shakespeare got the boot,  that was the first time we had a vacancy and I didn't immediately pine for Martin.

 

He'll always be a legend here, but we are a very different club now and he is a very different manager.
