The NCAA experiment hasn't worked. Defensively been shambolic this season. Worth a go considering that type of season it is but probably back to your more normal BBL experienced signings.

I’ve only been to one game this season and watched a few others on YouTube, I actually quite liked Asberry but got the feeling when watching them that is was working progress, just looked very naive.

Riders recruited heavily from the NCAA ranks this summer - college basketball. Normally you wouldn't have Riders gamble that heavily on players straight from college. They may add one or two but went with a number. Normally under coach Rob, they'd sign players with at least a year of pro basketball in Europe and/or the BBL. 

 

Given London Lions are near on absolutely going to win the league, it appears the Riders decide to roll the dice this year on recruitment to see if they could perform better than other players. Nothing to lose really.

Cheers. Seem a bit light now and I can’t believe the difference to last season which was my first watching.

Then a loss to Lions at the Copper box - not dominant enough on the boards. 

 

BBL has just accepted a further £4m from 777 - this after them being very late with their payments before. Apparently not all of the clubs wanted the £4 million. It's going to pop at some point.

In absolute stinking form at the mo. The strongest player Teddy Allen is an absolute liability - recently banned for two games because he received two technicals, then had a go at the ref in changing rooms and sent him abusive messages on instagram!

Massive win tonight - form has been really inconsistent and they pull that out of the bag. Newcastle are 1 up against Caledonia. A semi v Eagles be great fun as the players really don’t get along
