The kick off was delayed as there were so many Leicester trying to get in. We had the whole of thier main stand, must have been 8,000 of us there. We hung on a bit but our goal was typical of us back then - brilliant Parker free kick delivery and a Grayson bullet header. Scenes at the end will last a long time. Great days.. Christ Parker could take a set piece.
katieakita Posted 5 January 2019 Author Posted 5 January 2019 Were certainly some fantastic memories and times. We certainly could grind out a result in some backs to the wall performances. No intention to cause arguments but time seems to have faded the memory of some performances on the road to success. Do not think any amount of posts will change peoples views on the current regime at the club.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 5 January 2019 Posted 5 January 2019 I think it helped us that the bigger clubs didn't take the league cup seriously at all back then pretty much giving us a free run at it.

And in your local it was usually the pub loud mouth that no one really ever drank with and you’d try and get away with just a nod and 'alright' when buying a pint as he was always sat there.
