We lost our best player because he wanted to leave, it had nothing to do with financing other purchases. Our net spend was tiny because we got 60m for him.

We could have spent a lot more but we had to clear out the squad, we started the season with 27 professionals meaning 2 missed out on the squad (which is appalling squad management). We also have some talented youngsters coming through that Puel wanted to utilise. If money was an issue we wouldn’t have spent so much on Ghezzal. It was identifying the right targets to play Puel’s way and then convincing them to join (which might have been made more difficult if they spoke to Puel because he is not the best communicator in English).

You don't know we could have spent more, facts are we didn't and the manager clearly stated in public that we didn't have the funds of others. So...

Basically he's saying where the best of the rest (or should be) outside of the big six. nothing the fans already know!. with the players we have we should be seventh! with the right manager!

With the players we have we should be 7th with one eye on those above. As we know better than anyone, those "big clubs" who end up in 4th to 6th place start to panic and you always get under-performing top 6 sides who can slip out of the aforementioned positions. With that, a man with a plan and a couple of additions whilst the old guard continue to be replaced and we could be a serious side. Im like a scratched record on this but we have so many players that would get into top 6 clubs and thats why individually people can see we have some high quality players. They need to play to a plan and play as a team and we could be anything.

Aim high!

We should be aiming for top 10 as a minimum especially with our wage budget and squad. A good cup run or two should also be thrown into the mix.

We have the potential to finish 7th but so do a few others, it certainly isn't an expectancy.

We more 3 wins at home we'd be 7th now instead its been a season of under achievement, hopefully we going to see things change and 15 more points by the end of the season should be a good marker:)
