Fulham Fan In Peace - Ranieri and How

We were just better than everyone else.

The final pieces of the jigsaw was Kante, Ranieri and they played as a team.

What spoilt it nobody really knows but Jealousy and Money might have had something to do with it.

The following season we didn't replace Kante with like for like as Steve Walsh took the second best defensive midfielder to Everton for 7 million.

Fulham should never have sacked Jokanovic. He got them promoted then spent another 100mand with all that upheaval wasnt given time to get the players to settle and build. Ranieri looked like he improved things but his hands were tied on transfers and what he had to work with. The rumours are that Claudio wanted Cahill and Drinkwater but Fulham wouldnt sanction the loan fees and wages on them due to the financial shite they got themselves in with all them signings and wages with relegation an odds on probability.

Pearsons with owners building program of b.room staff incredible

Pearsons handling of his players..excellent.

His own transfer input selections top

His last tenure, the best of the "the also rans" with Dyche. The best 2 managers..of that 2-4 year period.

The great Escape...a sprinkle of everything, and it happened under his tenure,IMO Huth-signing  was catalyst.Cambiasso the gravy...

How/Why the title..

all the above plus Cambiasso moving on..

The mentioned transfer additions, some Pearsons, others just after his time, but could of been his suggestions..

Ranieri has the chosen manager...

KANTE firstly not sure but made a tempting offer with "clause" agreeing to join us.

The teams fearless character, taken even deeper from previous season..

Everything that encompassed and welcomed new quality players into the "team" no outsiders all individuals part of the whole!!

Ranieris willingness to sit back and see..at the very beginning..

Instant action when in those first 2 months, saw it needed it tweeking.

Not implementing any of his own B.room staff that would have immediate effect or change.

Ranieris willingness after his tweeks, replacement s to let the first 11-13 players be as they are..

he was excellent with the press, which must of impressed, even motivated the players...and they saw they got his backing.

I am sure he was surprised even gobsmacked with our explosive forward movement and impact, decided to leave that alone

he saw defensive frailities, and used his quality and experience to make necessary improvements and changes, even better than most expected...

We disovered,we had a gem on our hands where any type of plaudits would still not project this individuals quality to the whole!!! KANTE.

for that season we had subs/fringe playerss, that stood up and played high class football, or grabbed the single game changing moments....

The Okazaki-Ulloa system of exchange. Kings control and f ront foot presentation...

and then Vardy..not a corn but a boulder in every opposition's defenders shoe!!!

not jjust every major issue, but even every minute detail, was sorted on and off the field....

Opposition and Pundits wry and sly questions/opinions/major doubts....we're left on stone ground to wither....

We found the annoying and right formular...!!!

the following seasons collapse....

No,No!!!  I don't believe for an instance other teams, had found a way to counter our play...!!

we found a way to forget what we was doing right...but that was  really...confounded...because we lost a major irreplaceable cog from our Engine room!!

KANTEs loss stole our ground base and stability, also forward impus.

Kante The most underrated loss of any team in PL history!!!

One can never replace that uniqueness, that he brought into that title winning team

DDrinkwaters naggling injury.

Asking King to play an holding role, and others to change too quickly to new on ball tactics..

Ranieris...stupidity to go to draconian..B.room staff, with Old tradition of Italian methods!!!

Dismantling the most progressive successful team of B.room staff, sealed the fate of the immediate future...

Poor or bad luck in the recruitment...

Even with Kantes loss, there was too much wrong thought,in making changes to the whole.

IMO ,some of the tinkering was correct and valid..but he didn't seem to believe the ideas himself, too swift in turning to previous seasons tried and trusted,

then with holding ball tactics that didn't mesh!!

I honestly believe it Ranieri had,had the luck to keep Kante...and left the main sports science group in place,we would of competed again..

Kante loss he couldn't help, but any tweeks or major changes one makes,he had too make sure it improves the team, the squads the club's situation...it didnt..!!

He wanted to change too much of a system and mold, that was working successfully..we stopped pressing!! Ranieri didn't trust what he had within the team!!

Is /was he a good manager...yes!!  Would I took him for the Fulham job.. I don't know the innards of the club Fulham,so no idea!!

could be take on another coaching/manager job in any European top league.....pointless to give an opinion.

he still does have a good-top CV. He is still one of the decent ones ,now available on the circuit..

no one has the right to judge his right to carry on working in his career..!!

Hello To all, Fulham Fan In Peace here or pieces after last nights match.

A post was placed on the Friends of Fulham forum about Leicester and Ranieri,

My question is was it CR tactics that helped create the amazing feat of Leicester winning the prem (This gave hope to any club) or was there more going on

in the background etc  As for myself I can not fathom out what this guy does or in yourselves case did.?

Best wishes for the remainder of the season

I have often asked this question to myself and to this day I still have no idea how he pulled it off. It seemed to be like some sort of perfect storm where the stars aligned and made it possible.

Claudio continued the momentum from the great escape of the Pearson team from the previous season and it just went on and on to make us the best team in the Premier League for one season only. As we closed in on the impossible dream of winning the title he had the press eating out of his hand. This took all the pressure off the players which was probably his greatest skill. Obviously we had some quality players such as Vardy, Schmeicel, Mahrez and others. Kante was added to these and somehow we pulled off one of the greatest achievements in sporting history which can never be taken away from us. Let us all hail Ranieri. :scarf:

Completely right.

Both deserve equal credit for that season.

Ranieri would not have won us the title without the squad and spirit already in place. He hasn't built a title winning squad at any of  the clubs he's managed, not even the biggest clubs he's managed.

It's impossible to say if Pearson would have won us the P/L title. But we know tactically he wasn't good enough in that first P/L season, and hasn't been since leaving us. He certainly knew how to build spirit a squad and an outstanding backroom team though, which is why it's as much Pearson's title as Ranieri's.

Surely anyone can see it was a factor of these two combinations together and for just one season which resulted in that achievement?

I personally think Pearson will not as calm as Ranieri did and might disrupt player concentration, especially early part in that season when we keep conceding
