TornadoShaunUK Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 Giant - they released an album fairly recently in 2001 but it was mostly just re-worked songs that didn't make the first two albums.. shame.. Giant were tremendously under-rated. Dann Huff should be a musical legend.
Head Honcho Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 Jon Lee Feeder-Legend I went to his Funeral
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 Yep, probably all those already mentioned although I also think that.... Ian Curtis - Joy Division Billy MacKenzie - Associates Stuart Adamson - Big Country Girl out of Stereolab Ian Dury All fantastic artists
Deathside Posted 12 November 2005 Posted 12 November 2005 I've had to think long and hard about this one Eventually I decided on 2 Japanese musicians Firstly Totsuan (Singer of SOB) - He was a good friend of mine who sadly threw himself in front of a train about 10 years ago For music reasons I choose Randy Ushida (Guitarist of GISM) - Died of cancer in 2001(?) - I never got to see GISM play - Although there were plans at one time to do a 3 way headline tour of GISM Anti Cimex Extreme Noise Terror Also have to mention the man who was not really an artist but who I believe did more for the world of music than any musician living or dead - John Peel
lcfcsoul66 Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 Gotta be Otis Redding or Marvin Gaye! Buddy Holly is also a damn good call as well!
Jay Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 Also have to mention the man who was not really an artist but who I believe did more for the world of music than any musician living or dead - John Peel have to agree with that!!! Good artists come and go but without the likes of John Peel playing them when nobody else would many would never have been heard of or been as succesfull as they went on to be!!
