Of league (not non-league) clubs in the UK....

- Which 5 clubs play in the national league of another country?

- Which 1 club did so until 2019?

- Which 1 club did so until 2008?

- Which club played non-league in 1 country for decades, then played in the top division in another country in 2008?

Well question 2 is Berwick then as I just remembered they were relegated last year.

Are The New Saints technically in England?

Is that Oswestry Town? Merged with TNS in Wales?

Correct re. Berwick......and you've caught me out re. New Saints.

New Saints do play in Oswestry, but I'd overlooked them - so there are 5 clubs for Q.1 - and you've now identified 4 of them.

On that note then, the Deva Stadium pitch is actually in Wales, so do Chester count? lol

This is getting messy due to my error!

No, Oswestry Town wasn't the intended answer to Q.4 and is a bit dubious anyway, as they didn't play league football in Wales, only non-league - New Saints played league football.

No prob!

So, you've got the first 2 questions between you - and you've got the 3rd by default (Wrexham - No, I didn't realise they'd been gone that long, either)

Just leaves Q.4.....

It is. You people know far too much pointless crap 😆

I used to read The Knowledge in the Guardian every week, which would be full of crap like that?

Like whats the closest football ground to the Mersey?

Phase 1: the shop is down £100 from the theft.

Phase 2: the shp remains £100 down as the sale can be considered a separate transaction.

At the end of the day when the shopkeeper does the books his till is £100 down.

You could make a case that it's less because the stock is probably worth less than £70 but that's neither here nor there.

It's an old question actually, when it was set these were a league club, but they aren't anymore.

Which English and Scottish league clubs have in their first name the shorter full first name of another club? Examples from clubs not necessarily still in the league would be Chesterfield -> Chester City and Shrewsbury Town -> Bury.
