There have been 18 Cities past and present play in the English Football League:

Can anyone name all 18?

Leicester, Coventry, Manchester, Bradford, York, Bristol, Exeter, Birmingham, Stoke, Chester, Hull, Norwich, Swansea, Cardiff (14).....

Edit: Salford (15)......were Cambridge City ever in the league? I presume there are a few early clubs, but I won't cheat!

Eddie Niedzwiecki? Wrexham keeper from the 80s?

Yes ! I conflated the two players . Both played for Wales but Kryzwicki wasn’t a keeper and he played in the 60s/ early 70s

Missing 3 current football league clubs (one maybe more challenging than it seems) and one club no longer playing league football.

I edited to add Salford (15), but will start scratching my head again for the other 3!

You’ll kick yourself for missing one of them.

Lincoln.

That’s 16 the other two are the hardest.

One is a current football league team who were originally called City and changed their name.

Anyone know how to put a hidden answer on here?

Add [ spoiler ] at the start of your post and then [/ spoiler ] at the end but without the spaces in the brackets.

Testing

Testing City?!? Never heard of them....

Just found a vague thought in the back of my brain that there was once a Leeds City ......had to confirm via Wikipedia, I must admit. Existed until 1920s.

Is that 17 now?

Doubt it he barely played.

I think the 6 are Schlupp, Cahill, Batshuayi, Remy, Loftus-Cheek and Moses.

Fairly certain Moses never played in the Prem for Palace. Other 5 sound spot on though.
