HowardsBulletHeader Posted 16 March 2020 Posted 16 March 2020 Even Sky Sports are taking a leaf from the FT Book.... Time for a cheeky Tyler's Teaser... 🤔 Can you name the 6⃣ players who have played for Crystal Palace in the Premier League - and also have a Premier League winners medal? 🥇 https://t.co/p40fLD3oZ6

String fellow Posted 16 March 2020 Posted 16 March 2020 The answer to the question about 'v' clubs is 18, I think:- Liverpool, Wolves, Everton, Brighton, Villa, Blackburn R, Coventry, Doncaster R, Bristol R, Tranmere R, Port Vale, Forest Green R, Stevenage, Livingston, Inverness CT, Raith R, Cove Rangers, and Albion R, where R = Rovers (5 English, 2 Scottish). Merseyside (3) and the West Midlands (4) do well for 'v' clubs.
boots60 Posted 16 March 2020 Posted 16 March 2020 Sunderland did it in 1979 Villa did it in 1981 Who did it in 1980?

String fellow Posted 16 March 2020 Posted 16 March 2020 The answer to the question about one club's first name appearing partly in another:- Coventry City -> Cove Rangers. Clydebank disappeared in 2002, otherwise Clydebank -> Clyde would have worked. A couple of truncation of names are Dundee United -> Dundee and Queen's Park Rangers -> Queen's Park.

Wasn't sure if he moved before or after the league changed. I think 5 are Schlupp, Cahill, Batshuayi, Loftus-Cheek and Remy. Can't think of number 6. Edit: oh maybe Moses?
pleatout Posted 17 March 2020 Posted 17 March 2020 Can you name an Englishman, Irishman, Scotsman and Welshman who have played international football for their countries with surnames ending in the letter i.

Peter Bonetti for England. Lou Macari for Scotland Blimey, showing my age... (Macari was at school with my Mother in Law, so I'm told).

Edit: Everton as well. Yeovil!

String fellow Posted 17 March 2020 Posted 17 March 2020 Yeovil Town is in the National League now. If we allow that 'v' club, then Dover Athletic is also in the frame. Halifax Town, the 'x' club I mentioned, is also in that League.
Aus Fox Posted 17 March 2020 Posted 17 March 2020 There have been 18 Cities past and present play in the English Football League: Can anyone name all 18?
