yorkie1999 Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 To while away a footballless season. man steals £100 quid from a shops till and then uses that same £100 to buy £70 worth of goods from the same shop. He gets £30 change. How much does the shop lose?
EastAnglianFox Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 I would say £100 but it's flawed because the £70 of goods wouldnt have actually cost the shop owner £70 so until we know what they paid cost price we can't give an accurate answer

Brainy Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 I think £200 aswell No £130 actually between 0 and £200 anyway i've settled on a loss of £60
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 Why would the shop be daft enough to give him change?

PAULCFC Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 One team in the British football leagues has a letter in their name that not another does.

Jimothy Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 He's lost £100. If the thief had taken £70 stock and £30 from the till, you say the shop had lost £100, and this is no different, someone just added an extra layer to confuse you where he takes the cash.
Alf Bentley Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 £100 minus the profit margin on the £70 purchases?

String fellow Posted 15 March 2020 Posted 15 March 2020 Why would he hand over £100 for something costing £70? He must have stolen two £50 notes for that to make sense!
