The Haymarket it's self is  an eyesore and they wouldn't even need a CPO for that one.

No i think it was, the opposite side of the road,where the bookies is now.I'm sure as we went into town from Fosse Rd it was on the right.Pretty much where you woud go down to the RL Studio,or Eizabeth place

Not surprised Highcross is in the state it is in, once you add up parking and petrol it's quite easily £8 for a few hours in the shops. Compare that to Fosse Park, costs me about 50p in petrol and the parking is free, just got to time it right when it's not mega busy.

The only issue is the Fosse Park is hell on earth!!!

Leicester Haymarket in 1867 taken from the Leicester Cathedral's spire which was erected in this year. Note what appears to be workmen working, one presumes on the Memorial Clock Tower, which was finished 1 year later. This view is unrecognisable 60 years later and moreso 100 years later.
