please add grace period for "edited by"

In most forums there is a grace period so can fix typos, and it doesnt say edited.  Please add a grace period.

 

Also if I click edit, dont change anything and hit cancel, it says I edited my post.

Well this is forum support and it's not is if anybody has suggested an idea before.

 

I agree OP, it's a good shout. If I post on reddit I think I can edit without it showing for up to 5 mins.

I think it should a grace period of a day, so you can put some really agreeable post, wait till it's got 20 reps then change the text to some abhorrent right wing nonsense to make all the reppers look like Nazis

My mind works much quicker than my fingers, so I always make errors in my posts.

 

A minute of grace would be more than enough for me. Although I should really start to proof read before I click 'Submit Reply'.
