SIRFOOT Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 Saturday our fans were diabolical. Yes the game wasn’t the best + yes there was nothing to get excited about, but it didn’t mean we all had to just sit there. Maybe if we started chanting for once the players would raise their game, and when we do chant it is the same old tune, "we love you Leicester" zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. It puts me to sleep. i looked over to the Kop, the fans who pride themselves on getting behind the team, were all just sitting there for the majority of the game. Even Chelsea has more of an atmosphere then the Walkers. We need to get it sorted.
Durnerz Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 H1 in the alliance and leicester stand. I used to sit there, no wonder you're moaning about lack of atmosphere.
IDEA OR IKEA Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I used to sit there, no wonder you're moaning about lack of atmosphere. I was in KOP and it was a disgrace - zero passion and atmosphere - there was more noise in the toilets at half time - POOR!
Durnerz Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I was in KOP and it was a disgrace - zero passion and atmosphere - there was more noise in the toilets at half time - POOR! Why didn't you stay down there then? You can see the game on the screens from the urinals you know. Interesting fact of the day
Jimmy Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 as for your point about chanting for individual players, its an unfortunate fact that over the last few years we've had an ever changing squad so we have got chants for any of the players
Ric Flair Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 The atmosphere at The Walkers is shocking and I think it always will be, even if we start winning alot of games I can't see it getting much better because of the the way the stadium is set out and the acoustics. To be honest I do alot of singing at away matches and try my best at home, but even I can't be arsed at the minute. It doesn't really effect the players whatever they say, they are used to playing football matches where nobody sings when they were youngsters. I can't ever recall going to a youth team game and hearing anybody singing.
Gené and Tonic Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 what did i say about having a crap stadum? They should have just copied Filbert Street and made he adjustments they were plannng to
evs_the_fox Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 'tis true. the walkers is shit. ive not been at all this season, i disliked it enough for the last 3 years to know im not going to warm to the place. the kop was shit for most of last season, the chants are unimaginative, we're too far away from the pitch, the ground really is just a soulless bowl. give me filbo any day of the week.
john_lcfc Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 thats why if the club give a shit they would switch the kop but i doubt they care. or if not all singers move to L1 and the like to create anything like the old kop. derby have there hardcore all next to the away fans like an L1 exept there is about 1000 of them as appose to 200
evs_the_fox Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 or just move the away fans up, surely that wouldn't require too much effort?! that aint likely though cos it would make the club look as though they are inciting potential trouble! **** blair & his nanny state!!!
lcfcsoul66 Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 **** blair & his nanny state!!! It was Thatcher and the Tories that killed the game mate! Bring back standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
willy37 Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 ok, ive seen many topics about the poor atmosphere, and i have to agree- it is terrible! but instead of moaning on here, why dont people actually sing?? surely thats the best way to get a good atmosphere. all it takes is a few peoplw to start singing and everyone eventually joins in.
Gené and Tonic Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 It's the stadium itself. It is impossible to get a good atmosphere because it just disappears into the air.
BartonFox Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 It was Thatcher and the Tories that killed the game mate! Bring back standing!!!!!!!!!!!!! No it wasn't, it was Liverpool fans.
SIRFOOT Posted 7 November 2005 Author Posted 7 November 2005 It's the stadium itself. It is impossible to get a good atmosphere because it just disappears into the air. well if LCFC fans were actually singing than yes that would be true, but you cant blame the stadium for everyone sitting there in silence.
Durnerz Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 Southamptons ground is identicle and that was voted Noisiest ground in its first or 2nd season so stop making excuses for the poor fans that we have.
Jimmy Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 No it wasn't, it was Liverpool fans. do you even know the details of hillsborough, i doubt you do because if you did you would have never said something so disrespectful
samlcfc1 Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 i dont think its impossible to get a good atmosphere lke wolves at home lst season was good its just alot of people wont sing for some reason
Guest Gist Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 We need to find something uplifting that gets everyone going we all seem to do that thing to the goalie when he takes a goal kick and sing about dennis wise why dont we jus sing and get behind the lads it makes such aq big difference .. the reason wise didnt play was because Redknapp knew that would make the fans sing so he didnt want the leicester players to be uplifted .... so come on lets get behind the lads even if they are playing sh*t
SIRFOOT Posted 7 November 2005 Author Posted 7 November 2005 i dont think its impossible to get a good atmosphere lke wolves at home lst season was good its just alot of people wont sing for some reason the only time i have wittnessed a good atmosphere at the walkers stadium. and i go about 30 games a season
lcfcsoul66 Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 No it wasn't, it was Liverpool fans. do you even know the details of hillsborough, i doubt you do because if you did you would have never said something so disrespectful In some respects yes it was. But the police an safety officals were at fault as well. At the end of the day if an area is made all ticket there should be no reason why people can't stand.
BartonFox Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 do you even know the details of hillsborough, i doubt you do because if you did you would have never said something so disrespectful Yes I do you non entity, I lost friends in that tragedy so I can say what I choose. I also have friends who live in Hillsbrough and they'll tell you what the Liverpool fans were like that day. Yes the authorities made hideous mistakes but to make the Liverpool fans out to be saints is so very wrong. Liverpool fans have been involved in 2 of the worst football disasters of my life time, resulting in 135 deaths, and that is a massive reason we no longer have the right to stand at football.
SystonFox Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 No it wasn't, it was Liverpool fans. that is a shocking comment .especially when my dad (a liverpool fan) was at the game in question. you my friend are disgusting.
